This guy here in the 1st pic was creative, he used the hail to get high. Now that is the true Aussie spirit!

Oslo got 205.9 mm rain in October. Bergen 188.5 mm. Last time Oslo got more rain in Oct than Bergen was in 1993. Trondheim 40 mm (airport) and 48 mm (Voll).
The remnants of Zeta brought rain and wind here Thursday and Friday. Rain changed to a heavy wet snow on Friday morning. Didn't get a chance to take pictures but there is still some snow on the ground. I'm sure it'll all be gone by tomorrow.
Hard freeze this morning with a low of 23 F/-5 C. Forecast high of 45 F/7 C and sunny today.
Snow at High Point, NJ...where I was this past Sunday. It would be awesome to live in this area because of the more extreme conditions compared to the rest of the state.

What a difference a week makes. This Monday a strong jet gets pushed way up north bringing warm weather to much of western Canada. Next Monday a weaker jet drops south and cold weather ensues. How cold will it get? As usual, the GFS has a more extreme forecast than the Euro. Still too far out to take to the bank.

The jet arching up to the Yukon is going to drag a Pacific low up there resulting in some wild weather. There's a blizzard warning in effect for parts of southwest Yukon.
There must having been a grumpy old man working at EC because part of the warning text reverts to imperial measurements. Big no-no.
Warnings 10:36 AM MST Saturday 31 October 2020 Blizzard warning in effect for:
Haines Road - Haines Junction to Pleasant Camp Blizzard conditions with gusty winds and visibility frequently near zero in snow and blowing snow are expected or occurring.
Blizzard conditions beginning late Sunday.
A Pacific frontal system has moved into the Gulf of Alaska where it will remain nearly stationary this weekend. Further snowfall accumulations of 10 cm or more are expected today with possible rain occurring this afternoon at the passes.
The blizzard will begin late Sunday and last through Monday evening when snowfall amounts could reach two feet. This combined with strong north winds will create blizzard like conditions and very cold wind chills.
Travel is expected to be very difficult or impossible due to near-zero visibility. Road closures are possible. If you become stranded in a vehicle do not leave. The vehicle offers a form of protection from the cold. A single person walking through the snow is harder to find than a stranded car or truck.
Please continue to monitor alerts and forecasts issued by Environment Canada. To report severe weather, send an email to YTstorm@canada.ca or tweet reports using #YTStorm.

Ah, nice big bear in that video.
Yeah Whitehorse is having some orgasmic weather right now and for the next few days. I applied to some government jobs there but did not proceed to the next phase. Oh well...maybe in the future.
Congratulations, you just experienced your first gaytime.

There was another brief spike later in the morning when the temp shot from 42 (6 c) to 54 (12 c) in just 10 minutes while the humidity went from 48% to 25%.
It was a warm morning, hitting 58 (14 c) before 9 AM. Most of the day was sunny, pleasant and in the upper 50s.
Another boring non-weather day here, typical of this sorry year. Easily the most boring year on record
