In North America, warm west cool east is the message for the next couple of days. Reverse west wind flow will make southern Alberta almost as warm as Tampa on Monday afternoon. Pattern change in the works for later in the week.

I don't know the November record for most precipitation in a day, but tomorrow may very well break it.

64/27 (18/-3 c) with sunny skies today. Thereβs still some stubborn snow patches hanging around in the shade which will probably be here for awhile.
The foothillsβIβve been corrected by all the Colorado natives that what Iβve been calling the mountains are actually foothillsβare surprisingly almost snow free now.

Winds of 314 kph?!? My god, there will be nothing left. Almost no news coming out of Catanduanes this morning. Not a good sign. My filipino workmate said his family back home just narrowly avoided this.

That had better not be the dew point! Second column is the "feels like" temp.... which is to be solidly ignored for reasons the screencap makes very clear. The BOM's "feel like" temps are as rediculous and nonsensical as the Canadian Humidex. The dewpoint is the 3rd column.

Today's forecast to become the rainiest November day in history in UmeΓ₯. The wind and rain is very loud against my apartment, and many of my friends who live in houses have water dripping from their roofs, and there are several large scale power outages. Our local news site has issued a live report event for the weather today. Here's some images and videos of the flooding.

Snowy morning in Western PA, here are some webcam shots of Northern PA. Some spots got nearly a half of foot of snow.

I woke up to an above-freezing temperature this morning, first time that's happened in weeks!
Today we're supposed to go up to a wonderful 16C, with similar temperatures the two following days. It's absolutely wonderful but will also make the subsequent crash into winter that much more brutal - we're going from a high of 10C on Thursday to a high of -8C on Saturday, yikes!

Somebody's post on this page keeps downloading a .mov file to my computer? Anyway, later this week the jet will drop down to make a bullseye right at the south coast of BC. This will lead to some impressive snowfalls in the mountains. 56 inches is 1.4 metres by my math.

We've got to the time of year now when talk of "overnight lows" and "daytime highs" doesn't necessarily mean much, because when the Atlantic is in charge of our weather in autumn/winter the temperatures go up and down whenever the air masses feel like passing by.

Same here. There goes the monthly record low despite the 17Β°C+ temps all night. Note the wind. It was the last 20Β°C high of the year.

^ Very impressive for November in Paris! Both GFS and ECMWF are suggesting a pattern flip with a cold west and warm east, with highs in the high 70's of F possible this weekend here:

Unbelievable heat and humidity in Alberta and Saskatchewan because of the reverse west windflow coming straight off the mountains. Hot spot in Alberta so far is Mossleigh, just southeast of Calgary, at 25.4 Β°C. Meanwhile Maple Creek, Saskatchewan, is checking in at 22.6 Β°C. Source: weather.gc.ca/canada_e.html

^ Very impressive for November in Paris! More impressive more to the east. 23/16Β°C in Troyes and 22/17Β°C in Strasbourg today for example, with similar temps in the whole Northeast. These temps aren't far from the midsummer averages!
