Gee no wonder I found the sky particularly hazy today. Rediculous. It will get worse once the plume over the PNW advects eastward.

Ahh, it's that time of the year again... -7C low three days ago and now a 30C high today. Gotta love these wild shoulder season temperature swings.

Last two days stayed cool and cloudy with highs of 51 (11 c) and 59 (15 c). Both were nice, refreshing sweatshirt weather.
From today itโs warming up to mostly highs in the 80s and lows in the high 40s for the next week or so. Should be pleasant and sunny but less interesting than the past week

We have 4 days in the 90s forecasted, which would be quite something around the equinox @49n.

It warmed up to 84 (29 c) today after a low of 40 (4 c). First sunny day since Sunday and clear, smokeless skies.
Lots of radiational cooling tonight, itโs already down to 60 (16 c) under 2 hours after sunset.

Forecast looks mostly pleasant and probably the sunniest weโve had in months. I donโt care about the temps anymore, just give me the damn sun

It wasn't as extreme as places out west, tho. I could smell it when I went outside, which I was surprised by.

This week was pretty dry (in what is usually the wettest month of the year) and hot: Back in ChCh, it looks as though they set a new record low for the month with -4.7 C - impressively cold for spring. Plus some epic diurnals:

Wow...just horrible. Extremely unpleasant even here. Yep...just like a winter inversion at this point. Temps are struggling to top 15/16C today.

at least you're in Portland omegaraptor . looks like thick valley fog The smoke/fog is extremely dense here, visibility was less than 1/8 of a mile for hours on end. It smells terrible outside and even inside it's hard to escape the smell. Hopefully the worst of it is behind us by tomorrow.

Quite the inversion this morning. Diurnals are gonna be crazy in frost hollows. Indeed they are. Largest if I'm not mistaken is Fontainebleau with 35.2/7.3ยฐC (95/45ยฐF), a 27.9ยฐC (50ยฐF) range.
