24.5C here, no record but still very warm for September.
We had a really cloudy/wet summer, but if you add up the absolute highs over the warm season these last six months it actually beats any classic summer of the past.
April: 20.5C May: 25.9C June: 28.0C July: 31.6C August: 28.6C September: 24.5C
None of those are records but it seems like we can get within a couple of degrees of the record highs pretty effortlessly now because there's so much more warm air to tap into to our south. To put this year in context, the whole of 1993 never got above 22.6C.

Quite chilly this morning, it dropped to 38F here (Record 32F). Frost on elevated surfaces like Trash can lids, but none on the ground. City only dropped into the mid 40s, but outside UHI most places made it down to around 40F. Mountains to the east and north were all in the 30s, northern PA had spots dip to freezing. High is forecast to be 70F this afternoon

Better hope it just stays as upper level smoke and not at the surface. I expect it won't affect the surface though but it's completely different experience between the two.

Even hotter today in benelux. 34-35C in both the netherlands and belgium. Very impressive heat for mid-September! I honestly wish this setup occurred earlier this summer so that 100+°F highs would have occurred here, it's a shame that the late July heat wave last year largely missed Rome.

Yes, it's crazy for mid-september. These values seems close to the all-time national September highs for those countries. Eindhovens all-time september record seems to be 33.1C for example.

25.4C here today and I thought that was impressive, 35C that far north this late in the year doesn't even sound possible.
First time ever we've had 25C in all five months May to September :oglvvd

The bulk of the smoke has left us, but it's still been hazier than normal these past few days. I wonder if we'll get some of that smoke plume in five days.
