A staggering 2.1” (5 cm) of snow fell overnight and this morning. Most snow I’ve seen fall since mid December.
High was also only 23 (-5 c) at midnight which isn’t impressive on its own but the first sub 30 f high this month.

Our cold snap ends as quickly as it began. Starting today we're heading right back above -20C day and night, and the two week forecast shows exactly one low below -20C in that period. Altogether we'll have had a whole 4 or 5 days of actual real cold between mid-December and mid-February. If I were an extreme cold fanatic I'd probably have a Beercules-style meltdown, however I am not and a few days is more than enough for me so I will instead rejoice in returning to reasonable temperatures Also just to put into perspective how cold Saskatoon really is, this ridiculously mild winter that I've been loving and fawning over is still slightly colder than an average winter in Minneapolis. (sadly, we will not be getting a Minneapolis-level summer to accompany it)

Fucking gross out this morning, 80 F (26.7 C) with a 70 F (21.1 C) dew point, heading up to a staggering 87 F (30.6 C) high today with sunny skies. On a positive note, Tuesday just got noticeably cooler for next week, now showing a nice 43 F (6.1 C) low for Tuesday night. And the forecast overall looks rather OK after today.

Latest GFS runs have shifted storm track southwards, and I'll be in for some snowflakes tomorrow morning.
