Texas forecasts for Monday have been downgraded again:
Dallas (32N) : -11/-18C Austin (30N): -7/-17 C San Antonio (29N): -3/-14 C Houston (30N): -5/-12 C Galveston (29N and coastal): 1/-5 C Corpus Christi (27N and coastal): 1/-8 C
These would be 80-year lows for these areas I think. Those palms are getting fried

This is distressing. Yet another winter with all its 3 months above average. The last below average winter month was February 2018. The last below average month, period, was May 2019. A whopping 20 straight months above average. Absolutely abysmal.

High was just 9 (-12.6 c) today. Thatโs the coldest high since February 2014.
The low finally dipped below 0 f, hitting -3 (-19 c). It only took 3.5 months to get a temp as cold as it was in October.
More light snow today but only a dusting stuck. NWS says 3-5โ tomorrow night which is a nice fall but will still be less than TX/OK/AR.

February has indeed been very cold.
Daily mean in February has been -6.2c compared to the current climate normals, and if you wish -5.2c compared to the old climate norms and -4c compared to the very old averages of 1880-60 averages.
Is there anyonehere who thinks -10c /-21c is "normal" in my area? Such were the temperatures on Wednesday.

It can stay warmer in the UK than in France, I have no problem with that.

0.4C now, which is also this month's record high. Yup, first time above freezing so far. 16 consecutive ice days.

Yet again, for at least the 2nd time in this cold snap, Uranium City is the hot spot in the province. Looks like all the cold has settled into the south.
Also, February is down to a mean temperature of -24.7C in Saskatoon, and with today being fiercely cold we will definitely drop below -25C before things start to warm up on Monday.

Finally a real snow day in Vancouver after days of cool, windy and dry conditions. First major snow of the winter at the airport (eastern suburbs already had about 2-8cm on Dec 20th). Up to 10cm forecast today with temps around -2c to 0c. Hopefully it overperforms and we end up with 20cm+

Now this is a good website showing the conditions not only in the British Isles but also over the entire world: www.weatherobs.comGetting mild to the SW and Ireland is looking pretty mild. As the wind shifts around the the SW we'll get in on the mildness and our snowpack will finally disappear.

Should be at or below freezing all day today. Tomorrow...hard to say but probably a tad warmer is my conservative guess. This is a rare sight, with Victoria/Vancouver as the only ones showing snow on this map:

The GFS snowfall map on Pivotalweather looks more realistic at depicting possible snowfall than what's on Tropical Tidbits. The Tropical Tidbits map says it includes sleet, but I wonder how freezing rain affects what it's showing. Looks like I may be around the border of where actual snow falls. Here's what the GFS is now showing for Tuesday morning temps!

Milder air (green) are working it's way into central Norway, our cold wave is over. But I notice still -30C i n the valleys on the Filefjell mountain plateau in the south. And -36C in Russia's Kola peninsula. Cred: weatherobs

Some sort of winter weather alert in a huge junk of the country. Entire states like Oklahoma and Arkansas are under a Winter Storm Warning as well as a good portion of Louisiana and Mississippi. Exciting stuff.
