The temperature's plummeting today. It was -18C when I woke up this morning and we were supposed to drop down to -22C in the afternoon but we've already reached -24C at 11:00am.

Could be some threat for isolated severe weather or even a tornado this afternoon! I guess it will depend on how far north warmer air gets. Threat looks higher to my south. 57F here as of noon. Window of the possible severe threat is 2-8 PM. Low tonight of 40F behind cold front.

The last few days have been wonderful. Lows WARMER than expected, and more incredibly, in a hark back to our old school climate, it has been MUCH WARMER THAN THE HAY GAYS AND PENROIDS AND ALL THAT SHIT. FIRST TIME IN 3 FUCKING YEARS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Third low in a row above 20C, - 21C, 23.8C, 23.3C, while the most the Hay Gays could manage was 18C. About fucken time

The latest map Cambium posted shows about 13 inches of snow for my area. If that holds, I'd certainly be content!

We've just dropped below -30C for the first time since February 19th! It's currently -31.1C with a windchill of -39C. Our forecast low for tonight is -32C so it's anyone's guess whether the temperature is going to mostly plateau throughout the night or if it'll keep dropping and get much colder than that.
The dew point is currently -34.1C, ridiculously dry as is always the case in these deep freezes.

It dipped to 5 (-15 c) this morning, the coldest itβs been since October.
Despite the snowstorm to the south and east, only 0.6β (2 cm) of snow fell today.
Thereβs a chance of snow tomorrow but itβll probably just be more boring light snow.

Too much uncertainty for me. Looks like a solid hit for the Poconos either way.

Temps at 11:20pm. Please enjoy this old school summer clima moment. A rare sight in our new age of the New World Climate. This is a summer temp regime as originally decided on by our forefathers, to be the routine for the next 2 centuries until 2017 or so, when the New World Climate decided to make the Hay Gays, Buttsecks Hill, and anywhere in a gay ass f/2 parabolic line from Wollongong to 2km north of the Vic border at the SA junction have higher summer averages than here.

Note the sharp temperature gradient along the leading edge of the cold front. I might get some thunder as well. Edit: Most of it missed me, I heard a few distant rumbles but nothing else.

Overcast with some flurries, min -1C and max 0C in Riga. Officially, it is 0cm on the ground, but there are some traces. Calm and a bit warmer tomorrow here, but looks like there is an impressive low in the North Atlantic named Barbara by German meteorologists:

Sleet this morning changed to snow. Snow was fairly heavy but mostly stuck to trees and grassy areas. Roads were just wet. This type of snow is nice since it doesn't cause major inconveniences with travel.
Mid-week looks like it will be quite an "inconvenience" with the first major snowstorm of the season. A foot or more of snow is possible.

High today was just 46F following last night's cold front; could get close to freezing tonight if sky clears enough. Might stay in the 40's the next couple of days.
Intense squall line came thru yesterday evening with approach of cold front. Airport recorded wind gust of 62 mph!

Western Oklahoma saw an early-season snowstorm in October and is on pace for a very snowy December. Arnett saw 6.3" in October, 15" on December 2-3, 5" today, and another 3 to 7 tomorrow. So, possibly 30 inches by mid-December. Nearby Gage airport (KGAG, lol) reached 8F this morning as well.
For comparison: Milwaukee has 0.4 inches of snow and a lowest temp of 24, though it should reach 20 tonight. Nowhere in Wisconsin has seen that much snow yet but northern parts have seen 8F.
October. Temperatures from Gage, snowfall from Arnett. Possibly 100 and snow in the same month! Most of the area is missing data around the 23rd, likely due to the ice storm that week. November had no snow it seems. December. 15 inches of snow, then warm, now more snow. NWS has 3 to 7 on the forecast, and the winter storm warning has 4 to 5 inches. A snow band brought 0.8β (2 cm) today. It was cool watching it roll in off the mountains, first the high peaks disappeared then I could see the snow over the foothills before it arrived here.
This is the 4th straight day with snow for a total of only 3.9β (10 cm). Rather unusual pattern.
First two weeks of December averaged 48/18, which is 2.1 f above average.
