Sunshine hours in december so far... Växjö: 1.4h Göteborg: 2h Lund: 2.3h For Göteborgs part that's around 1.8-1.9% of the possible total sunshine the forecast doesn't look too encouraging either

I said I wanted to go to the Poconos over the weekend to hike in all this snow. But there's a chance there might be too much snow. Not for me, but for the park to be open, for parking to be available. That happened in March 2017. So we'll see.

Big blob of cold made it well into Mexico this morning. 13f (-11c) in Marfa TX. Yellowknife hovering around -40c all morning. Most of Quebec in the -30s as well. Definitely the coldest morning of the season so far for a good part of the continent.

17.5 hours of sunshine so far in Võru. This is not the worst result for December. Temperature above average. However, December last year was significantly milder. There has been six days in this winter so far with below zero highs (not eight days as says infoclimat).

Storm total - 12.2", snow depth of 11" right now Over 30" in Northern PA - Many over 36" (a meter of snowfall) Core of Storm was a line from Pittsburgh to Albany, heaviest in Northern PA in between All Time record storm for Williamsport, PA

Probably extend the line from SW PA through Albany and up into southern VT and NH now. As its gets further north the 12"+ zone is widening it seems.
