Lets see what happens when two of the least popular climates on the forum face off... Both climates have roughly identical seasonal temperature ranges and total rainfall but that's about where the similarities end.

My vote is for Motueka I think. Key Biscayne is much more interesting but I think I have to vote for comfort. Not 100% sure.

Have to go with Motueka for more seasonality in temperatures.

Key Bitcoin for the summers and storms. And generally more excitement. Mouteka's crummers are far too cold.

The colder one. KB is too hot for too long.

Key Biscayne. It has a summer. Not being tropical, it would have a summer, and a winter and a spring and an autumn. Key Biscayne is tropical.

Key Biscayne. It has a summer. Not being tropical, it would have a summer, and a winter and a spring and an autumn. I think you're taking my post too literally. Key Biscayne has at least a 3-4 month period that satisfies my requirements for it to subjectively feel like summer. (6-7 months actually.) Motueka has zero months like that.

No competition...Motueka easily. Much more comfortable temperatures.

@logan5 So you don't think Key Biscayne is tropical? No. It just gets too cold - tropical climates shouldn't be diluted to include climates that can get subfreezing tempratures at sea level, and for 4-5 months of the year. Except those lows are once in a lifetime lows, second KB is a zone 11A.... a true one at that other than the crappy subpar zone 9 or 8 or whatever your region is...

No. It just gets too cold - tropical climates shouldn't be diluted to include climates that can get subfreezing tempratures at sea level, and for 4-5 months of the year. KB has all months with means that are above the threshold of 64.4Β°F under the KΓΆppen climate classification, so it's tropical IMO, even if it gets occasional cold snaps from the north.
