December 26th, went up to Mt Seymour (1000m / 3200' amsl) The snow was disgustingly wet. I'm lucky I didn't get stuck. It had just stopped snowing and remained foggy that afternoon. Yes I drove through that. Looks like less snow than it was. Lucky I didn't get stuck (again) But I guess this type of insanely wet snow...I guess it's kinda the essence of snow? Ya know? Went down the mountain and took a nice hike in Deep Cove. nei would appreciate this type of excursion I'm sure (snow to rainforest) Typical PNW rainforest in winter (without snow). Water was running pretty rapidly. Stairs to the trees Trail was wet. It got wetter after this shot. Deep Cove is lusher than Vancouver or even North Vancouver, fucken! Fucken! FUCKEN! Deep Cove is a nice place. This road goes steeply downhill. Sunset that night from my place... And from today, just north of Squamish: Through my internally dirty windshield (outside was clean)

Stole these off a mate. Taken around Llandegla, 15/20 minutes drive from here. Proves that the hills are getting snow.

nah not those particular ones. They are very nice shots though. Anyway, I went up to Seymour today and here are a few I took. This tree is fucking caked (but others were just buried) Trees are getting buried and we have a lot of snow on the way in the next month.

Some people were enjoying their traditional New Years dive: Nice skies Quite the street activity Looks like a Scottish road, but with no passing places. Nice and smooth sidewalk Hydrangea season is definitely not at its peak. Some nice mansions there Sun setting already! Soon to be high tide

rozenn Frost+clouds looks very strange to me. I don’t think i’ve ever seen that combination. The first half of the night was clear, it clouded over in the wee hours of the morning. So all the frost formed when it was still cloudless.

Try to guess at which altitude the snow started to turn into rain yesterday in the afternoon:

It's been snowing like crazy. Snow almost every day for a week now. This was a couple of days ago: Then it snowed lap-mittens as we say in Sweden (lap as in lapland). It isn't very visible in the image, but the snowflakes were up to 1 inch in diameter. This noon outside my work. Kept snowing throughout the day. Nice for sleighriding. Ridiculous amounts of pure powder snow on the trees right now. Don't think I've ever seen this much snow on trees from sub-freezing snow before. You normally only see snow like this during- and a day or two after an heavy above-freezing snow storm.
