15-day forecast for Winter Haven
Synopsis: Starting off quite pleasant and nice for the first few days, before a surge of warm, tropical air out of ahead of a tropical system impacts the area with a warming trend and back to mid-summerlike conditions, with hot and humid temps and daily thunderstorms. At the end of the month and beginning of September, a hurricane at strong cat 2/weak cat 3 strength will impact the area, bringing loads of rain, hurricane force winds, and lots of flooding to the area. The hurricane will make landfall on the coast 150 miles south of town as an extremely potent Category 5 before weakening to a borderline Cat 2/3 once it reaches the area. After the hurricane exits the area, it will drag a trough behind it bringing cooler than normal, early-fall like temps and tranquil weather. First frost/freeze possible at the end of the forecast.

No more 100F days, as the summer comes to a close. A much more comfortable and stable pattern on the horizon as the calendar flips to September. Still warm enough for a t-shirt, but wearing a sweater is advised during nights. Still a couple of 90F days left, but the worst of the summer is over
