Re-Cap
A hot and humid start before a cool front passed on wednesday giving way to a series of pleasant mornings and unseasonable cold. All of this preceeded a mega-heatwave to end the year.
December 21- 34/23- sunny, humid, winds N/NW 10-20km/h tending SW 15-25km/h in the afternoon then light. December 22- 33/23- sunny, humid, light winds. December 23- 30/22- mostly sunny morning becoming cloudy, humid, light winds becoming SW 10-20km/h in the morning increasing S/SW 25-30km/h in the evening. December 24- 27/17- mostly cloudy, less humid, winds S/SW 20-30km/h easing light in the evening shifting E/SE 20-30km/h in the late evening. December 25- 33/13- sunny, winds SE 20-30km/h turning E/NE 15-25km/h in the afternoon. December 26- 41/15- sunny, winds E/NE 15-20km/h increasing NE 20-30km/h throughout the day. December 27- 46/25- sunny, winds NE 20-30km/h shifting S/SE 10-20km/h for a period in the late afternoon then NE 20-30km/h later.
Forecast for Ushgabal:
One of the hottest and longest heatwaves of all time ends the year as a super humid, super wet, super hot spell which will clear to a much milder spell to start 2021. A mix of subtropical troughs and a decaying low (passing on the 1st and 2nd January, 2021) will result in this rain.
December 28- 45/25- sunny, winds N/NE 20-30km/h tending NW 20-30km/h in the afternoon then NE 10-20km/h in the late evening. December 29- 45/30- sunny until mid afternoon, humid, becoming cloudy with isolated storms from late morning to early afternoon; becoming scattered and increasingly stronger with a peak of activity around 5pm (5.8mm). Winds NE 15-20km/h increasing N 20-40km/h in the afternoon. December 30- 43/27- mostly sunny morning becoming cloudy around mid-afternoon, humid, storms developing from the north, in strong squall lines of two types ( 1: small cells with very strong centres and 2: bands of moderate to high rain and less lightning activity), storms will become very strong over the afternoon and early evening with flooding possible (19.4mm). Winds N 20-40km/h, gusts up to 100km/h possible in cells. December 31- 44/28- early cloudy clearing before sunrise, very humid, sunny becoming cloudy around sunset, huge cumulonimbus forming and bringing incredibly heavy rainfall to the area, possible 50mm+ falls in the hills (36.8mm). Most of the rain will be from the Type 1 of small, lethal cells and will be followed by steadier heavy rain in the late evening accompanied by a wind change (this later rain is the outer band of a decaying tropical low). Winds N/NE 20-30km/h increasing N/NW 30-50km/h in the late afternoon shifting W/NW 20-30km/h in the evening. January 1- 31/23- cloudy, humid, light showers (1.0mm), winds W/NW 20-30km/h. January 2- 33/21- mostly cloudy, humid, winds NW 15-30km/h easing light in the evening. January 3- 33/21- cloudy morning clearing to a sunny day, light winds tending S/SW 10-20km/h in the late morning.

Forum Upstream Error I'd love to live somewhere 27'C highs are considered "unseasonable cold" for late June/December (depending on hemisphere)

Synopsis: Weak low pressure will result in warm-air advection today. A dry cold front will cross the area tonight, with high pressure rebuilding behind it through mid week. The next frontal system will approach the area late in the week, crossing the area into the weekend. High pressure will rebuild later in the weekend.
