You may remember my original climate known as Snowy Paradise: cdweather.boards.net/thread/2481/rate-climate-snowy-paradise. I decided to make a modified version that is still quite snowy but has warm summers with thunderstorms. In Snowy Paradise II, snow is virtually unheard of from late May to early September, and there is a frost-free growing season of about 100 days on average. But the cold season is still very snowy, with snow lasting from mid-November to early May in an average year. The spring melt is usually gradual, and flooding is uncommon. While most spring and summer rain is from thunderstorms, fall rain is more often stratiform. Sometimes the storms produce hail, but damaging winds and tornadoes are uncommon.

This time it's an E instead of an F, due to having seen a record high of 90'F or warmer and not being as extremely subarctic, but it's still summerless crap.

A-. Summer ranges can improve and record highs, especially winter's, can increase.

Solid B+. Great climate, but it's not quite continental enough for my tastes. And those summers are too cool. Love all the snow and the length of the cold season though.

Great winter and snow but too dry at only 9" rain annually.

D.
Nov-Feb is great but the other seasons are far, far too cold. I like that this climate has fairly dry summers but they're still way too chilly for my liking.
