Inland = 31°-44° S/N (preferably at higher altitude) Maritime = 46°-59° S/N (preferably NOT in Europe or the Pacific Northwest!)
I voted 30°-40° S/N on the poll; as a "mid-point", so to speak.

40-45 N. Any father north, winter days are too short. Any father South, summer days are too short. Where I am at 43 N is pretty much ideal. Yeah that's about what I'd like too. Long summer days with a relatively strong sun angle, but it still gets dark at night, and winter days still get a decent sun angle. Plus, that latitude has decently balanced four-season climates in most of the world.

Now that I've come to think of it, daylight-wise I'd prefer my latitude range to be notably lower than that of my climate-wise range. I'd fucken hate twilight in my inland climates, but minor twilight (upper 50° parallels; British-style) is fine by me in my maritime climates.

Between 0 and 20 would be absolutely perfect, many places up to 30 actually. But in general above 20 you risk colder weather in the winter months. I don't mind high uvi because I do have quite a bit of melanin in my skin for some odd reason (all my ancestors are from North of 59N) and I like staying in the shadow.

In general: 30° but it significantly depends on continents and locations.

I'm still trying to figure out what's the ideal latitude for me (only considering day length variations and sun strength, not climate)
The southernmost latitude I've lived at was 48 °N and that was still a bit too far north for me. I have also spent three months between 10 and 20 °N in SE Asia and that was too far south, definitely. I guess optimal would be between 35 and 45.

Right around 60N is perfect, but I'll vote 50-60 for a bit more sun in winter and less in summer.

40s and low 50s are pretty ideal for me, both temperature-wise and in terms of day lengths throughout the year.

Latitude results in exponential increases or decreases in the quality of summer in Australia. Lower latitudes typically have more storms aswell.
For example, 35*S has summers twice as gay as at 32*S, and 8 times as gay as at 29*S. Correspondingly, summers at 35*S are 16 times as good as at 38*S, and 64 times as good as at 41*S.
Overall, for Australia I would prefer 28-32*S. Proper, actual summer heat, far less frequency of summer cold fronts than even at 35*S, and more storms, humidity. Also, still far enough south to see decently crisp nights in winter.

46 °N is the latitude of my dream climate. I prefer a slightly more even daylight distribution and higher sun angles than what I have now. Also, in Europe 46 °N is a good latitude for warm-biased continental climates.

My dream climate is at 47 or 48N, so that is the ideal compromise for me.

35-40N, or 30-35N with some elevation. This is where the best Mediterranean paradises are found!
