It's the old summer trope of all and every heat running express from Adelaide to Sydney. Used to shit me to no end when I was in Melbourne. Up to 31.4C here, and that's under practically overcast mid-level cloud. Even had some rain drops before 36C at Tarcoola

High ended up being 31.4C at the airport station, and under mid-level overcast. We even had rain drops falling from the mid-level deck a couple times during the day. The gold medal goes to Tarcoola @ 36.0C. Cleared out my backlog of laundry, just aswell as I've been wearing used jocks last couple days Adelaide managed 25C. Meanwhile, Failbourne got to 17.8C, and my brother's place at Phillip Island 15.9C. Penis fucken mcghee Forecast tomorrow is 28C here and 18C in Melbourne. The (cute) little girl on the weather report on TV said it was going to be a "muggy 18C" in Melbourne Looks like it's Sydney's turn next, 31C forecast there. Classic example of the typical summer running gag where heat runs super-express Adelaide to Sydney. As a former Melbourne resident, this SHIT use to drive me MENTAL

It is still 18C right now lol. at 9pm. At least it feels like a summer night Melbourne up to 17.8C at 9:10m, looks like the high temps will be set sometime around now But everywhere else in the metro area is cooling down. The northerlies are expected to decrease. Just gone under 20C at my PWS, meanwhile 20.3C at the airport station at 8:30pm.

Haha, Olympic park got 19.9°C but the airport got 21.0°C so I DONT CARE Just under 30C too lol, but at least its some nice heat. And yeah, that area sucks. Still remember my January holiday in Port Campbell where it didn't go over 21°C in a week

Bloody 29.9C, really it couldn't have crept up that 0.1C Yeah it was good burst of warmth, and the mild evenings were a nice change. Still nice at 17.7C at 10:30pm on my PWS. I've been to Portland twice, both for 10 days in January. There was some form of precipitation every day. The temp did not exceed 20C. I remember going down to the pier in the driving wind and everyone outside fishing was dressed up in thick coats. The low got close to 0C on one night aswell. An absolute horses ass of a climate. Lucky it never became the capital as it was founded before Melbourne, imagine an Australian capital city with cooler summers than London, man what ammo that would've been for Sydney et al.

Melbourne is an absolute disgrace, worse than Auckland currently. Looks like this Spetember is shaping up to be a completed repeat of September 2016 already, only made worse by the fact that the past three or so months have been absolut shit , just constant oceanic temperatures with no hot days, no cold mornings, no heavy rain, just a literal constant flow of drizzle and cloud from that darn Ocean to the SW. I thought last year was bad weather wise, lol what a joke. for the sanity and mental health of every Aucklander, this better be a long dry sunny summer. It really feels like the climate has been far below average, worse than usual since about January 2015 (with very few exceptions)

^^^ This Septictember is fast shaping up to be a crock of shit. Up here we've had a couple warm days, even a couple 30's just these last 2 days, the rest of the month has been grossly below avg. The warmth days up here have completely failed to make it to Melbourne, even though it's the same airmass with the same northerlies Even Adelaide hasn't been up to par, not even getting to 25C. The amount of wind, the stratocrapulus, THE WIND has been mental this Septictember. Both June and July were warmer and calm and sunny compared to this month. Last year's Septictember is the benchmark, which was 3C below avg and the rest of the spring was a fail aswell (you don't notice it as much here because it's overall warmer and sunnier than the coast but it was still below avg) Look at this fecal forecasts: www.bom.gov.au/vic/forecasts/melbourne.shtmlwww.bom.gov.au/sa/forecasts/adelaide.shtmlwww.bom.gov.au/sa/forecasts/renmark.shtml

And Sydney got to 34°C, what the fuck? How did they get so much heat? It's the standard summer running gag where all heat runs super-express from Adelaide to Sydney. I'm pretty sure the westerlies coming off the mountains create a foehn effect for the bastards, and being further north helps. The hot airmass was pretty much confined north of the divide and was pushed across the inland quickly by the strong approaching front so it didn't have a chance to extend properly into Vic.

A pair of 30C days popped up in the forecast for the end of next week. GFS has 850 temps around 19-20C progged here for the 23rd, if all the planets align, that could mean a high of 36-37C! However, look at this BOM output for the 23rd, 850 temps just touching 21-22C at the northern tip of Vic, that would mean 37-38C in Mildura! Windy as all hell, man I think I should go on a plane spotting trip to Melbourne Sydney will no doubt be mid-high 30's in this scenario if it happens, bastards

Could be worse though, look at Albany and its 0°C LOL
