The recent warmth has pushed September MTD above avg, MTD is 22.8C, 0.8C above the avg. Tomorrow forecast to reach 29C, and the last few days of the month 22-23C so the month should come in above avg. Things really picked up during the second half of this month. For comparison, Septictember 2016 averaged a high of 19.3C, more than 3C below this month so far! 2016 had no days above 30C, this month so far has 4 days with a 5th at 29.9C. Absolute highs stand at 28.4C vs 34.2C. The wind is still out of control, but I can forgive that now So somehow Mildura has totally defeated Renmark on the max temp? I didn't expect that tbh.

Starting to warm up finally, the last week has been mid-high teens with windy and showery weather. The next week/week and a half is looking dry and sunny.

Southwest Vic being polar again. 17C in Portland and Warnambool. Seabreezes in Melbourne are creating some interesting obs, 18C in the city, 24C at the airport, while Frankston is on 13.5C! Bayside suburbs in general are only around 17-18C while inland suburbs are 23-24C.

Adelaide had an overnight low of 21.3C while Melbourne only 9.0C. Was as cold as 7C at Melbourne Airport. It was times like this when I wanted to nuclear bomb Adelaide during my Failbourne days.
My overnight low was 19.8C here and 17.6C at the airport.
The dumb fuck fizzer trolls on the Weatherzone forums kept going on about the likelyhood of storms in Adelaide, but ofcourse nothing eventuated, all the storms died right in the ass much sooner than expected but what else is new.

I think metro cities here except brisbane and sydney are strategically placed to avoid storms

Brisbane always gets storms. Sydney gets alot on the surrounding ranges, but they tend to die in the ass when they reach the basin. Freaking NE Vic and Bendigo get more than Shitney IMO. What I don't fucking understand is how seabreezes and the cold ocean waters on the coast murder the storms, yet at the same time Bass Strait and both the bight and the Tasman sea at our latitude seem to spawn them willy nilly

It's definitely the basin-type geography mixed with the winds, they clash and basically kill any storms. Meanwhile:
