Ohtani hit another one! 454 feet, landed in the walkway just below the second deck
He might hit 60 at this rate

The Mets finally won a series. They sit in 4th place in the division still, however. Gonna take a great month to right the ship after a dreadful June.

Looks like Ohtani's HR landed halfway up the second deck in Angel Stadium. I don't think I can even hit it that far in a video game

Josh Donaldson has been one of the most infuriating trades I have ever seen as a Yankees fan. First, he was clearly declining when we traded for him. Two, his performance has deteriorated even farther the past two years. Three, he was traded for fan favorite Gio Urshela. And lastly, he has cockblocked the Yankees from signing much better players due to his insane salary

Marlins walked off the Cardinals in hilarious fashion yesterday:
Unfortunately, they lost 3-0 today. I was hoping they'd sweep the Cardinals to make up for getting swept by the Braves, but winning 3 out of 4 is pretty good still. I do feel a bit skeptical about this upcoming series with the Phillies. Phillies are red hot and they just swept the Rays at home. And we're facing their top 3 pitchers. This is gonna be a real test for the Fish.

After a surprising hot streak, the Yankees lost three games in a row while being outscored 4-23. This might be the ugliest Yankees team in a decade

Marlins with a terrible 4-3 loss today. Doesn't look like much on paper but they blew the game in the 9th. This type of loss is reminiscent of the shitty Marlins teams I grew up watching.

Yankees are 20-25 without Judge this year. 72-win pace
I’ve never seen a team this dependent on a single player before. It’s almost like Messi-Barcelona during the late 2010s

Yankees fall to 60-64. This is statistically the worst team Yankees team since I was born Yankees are in no man’s land now. They should have done as the Mets did and gotten value in prospects at the trade deadline, knowing that they weren’t going to win this year, looking to 2024. Mets are barely worse, at 59-67, and would likely be a .500 or above team but still missing out on playoffs if they had not sold at the deadline. alex992 the Mets beat the Braves 10-4! Too bad I wasn’t at the game.

Problem is the Yankees don’t have anyone to sell due to most players being old and underperforming. The only player with value that can be traded is Gleyber Torres, but there haven’t been any good proposals regarding him

Juan Soto starts off his Yankee career by going 6-for-12 with several clutch hits against their most hated rival. Not a bad start.

Incredible performance by Judge and Soto this season
Judge: 1.075 OPS, 198 WRC+, 4.0 WAR
Soto: 1.031 OPS, 191 WRC+, 3.9 WAR
Legitimately the two best players in baseball this year, and they hit right next to each other

I'm a Yankees hater, but I've loved Soto ever since I was a kid and knew with him in the lineup this team's offense would be special. I even got Soto's autograph on a baseball in February 2020, met him at spring training.

His plate discipline is unfathomable. Especially for a player of his age Also this is one of my favorite homeruns ever

I mean, I was just one kid with a couple friends in a group of dozens huddled around him trying to get him to sign my baseball after a spring training workout, and he did, so I didn't get to say anything more than a few words. Told him that he's my favorite player to use in MLB the Show, and he signed my ball despite my Mets hat.
Even before then he was my favorite player not on the Mets. I was like 13 to 14 when he came up. Always admired his combination of hitting for good average, power, drawing walks, and lack of strikeouts. He is one of few active players that walks more than he strikes out over his career. Just a pure hitter that we don't get to see too often these days.

Aaron Judge hitting .321/.452/.702 (1.154 OPS) with 41 HR and 103 RBI this season
This is somehow even better than his 2022 season
