Yeah, we really could've gotten a lot more for him, and Ozuna as well (and even Yelich). I don't think we got quite the same amount of prospects as the Astros though, we definitely don't have a Jose Altuve or Carlos Correa in our system lol.

Marlins split the first series with the Cubs 2-2; I'll take it. The Cubs are a really tough team. We face the Red Sox next, not exactly an easy team neither.
Marlins have quite the rough schedule in April and early May.

Very annoying series in which the Yankees suffered two bullpen meltdowns. These are always the most frustrating games to lose. Lost yesterday's game on a two-out Grand Slam in the 8th. Shittiest way possible
But then the Cubs split with the Marlins. Road series are always difficult

Road series are always difficult Intentionally walking Donaldson, who isn't 100% healthy, to get to Justin Smoak who's a legitimate slugger and all-around hitter was a pretty stupid move though. Aaron Boone almost acted as if Justin Smoak was nothing lol. And the matchup was on the hitter's side (lefty batter vs. righty pitcher), I would have understood that more if it was a much weaker right handed batter coming up behind Donaldson.

I did not like the move at all, and neither did David Cone, who was announcing the game. Besides, Donaldson was clearly not healthy

Stupid move on Boone's part, hopefully not indicative of him being a shitty manager because I like the guy. Even guys like Joe Torre or Tony LaRussa have made stupid moves before.
You don't walk a guy who's not healthy to get to a guy who had a .900 OPS last year with the bases loaded. Smoak is clearly a dangerous hitter.

I can't believe baseball season is almost over. This year went by ridiculously fast. Another year, another disappointment. They beat the Rockies today 5-4 but yesterday they lost their 82nd game which guarantees a losing season. And like 20 of those losses are probably due to our PIECE OF SHIT bullpen. Absolutely embarrassing how bad our bullpen is. It's sad because if the Marlins just had an average bullpen instead of one with a bunch of fucking retards, a healthy Bour all year and an average rotation, we could probably be a 90+ win team. This year is just an annual disappointment. And here comes the fire sale I bet in the off-season.
On the subject of Judge and Stanton, those dudes are ridiculous. I've seen dudes like Manny Ramirez, Gary Sheffield, Sammy Sosa, etc who hit lots of line drive home runs, but Judge and Stanton literally hit bullets at 115+ mph that don't go more than 10-20 feet above the ground and somehow make it out of the ballpark. Fucking incredible how hard they hit some baseballs. They also hit the farthest opposite field home runs I've ever seen too. Lol, foreshadowing is such a bitch.

Marlins are synonymous with fire sales right now. At least Loria is out. Even if Jeter turns out to be derpy, he will never be anywhere as bad as that twat was. Loria is just about as well liked as Curt Schilling or A-Rod or Scott Boras Giancarlo had an awful day today, 0-5 with 5 strikeouts Can't blame him, it was 40F with cold rain, shit weather for baseball and something he's not used to. Didi Gregorius on the other hand drove in 8 RBI!!! Didi's transformation is amazing. When he came over here he was a slap hitter with zero power and a .250 batting average, now he's a cleanup hitter

Boston FC match scores so far
L 4-6 W 1-0 W 3-2 W 2-1 W 7-3 W 4-2 (overtime)
After conceding six goals in their opening day defeat against Tampa United, their defense has been rock-solid at the back since then. They pulled off scrappy wins in their next three matches, before netting seven goals in a laugher against Atletico Miami. Last game was another tight one, as Boston FC netted a late equalizer and managed to win with two goals in overtime

Can't help but feel bad for Mike Wright. One of the worst ERAs in the AL. 5 overall and 8 with the Yankees. Yikes.

Marlins off to a 2-6 start, I knew the Marlins were gonna be trash this year. I predict them to go 52-110 this year.

Despite leading by 5 runs early on and having the bases loaded in the 12th inning with no outs, the Yankees still managed to lose.

They fucking lost 20-1 yesterday. Holy fuck, Stanton went 0-for-7 with five strikeouts today he's been struggling since opening day. Maybe the cold is getting to him? He'll very likely go on a hot streak when the weather warms up more.
