It snowed overnight, our finally bare streets have turned white again. It's not much, maybe a cm or two, but it's definitely there. This also means we've finally broken our streak of no precipitation this month.

Well here's a truly unusual combination - sunny and snowing. The rather thick clouds we had in the morning have mostly moved off and now we only have thin wispy clouds overhead with plenty of sunshine, but there's also a very low density of large, spaced out snowflakes falling slowly as well. Cool stuff!

Riga is subarctic. Can't believe trees are able to grow there.

Riga is subarctic. Can't believe trees are able to grow there. It was above 10C in February. But Riga is indeed borderline subarctic in my opinion.

Inland trough system just about finished down here: 48.7 mm today and 40.0 mm yesterday, making for an event total of 88.7 mm—much better than forecast!
Been stuck around 11°–12° C all day, with a morning maximum of just 12.9° C (thus far). Currently 12.0° C and fogged over with light rain; wind WNW, 98% RH.

Absolutely still air yesterday evening. There were clouds of chimney smoke floating around at roof height. This led to decent diurnals:
18.4/1.9°C (65/35°F) here 19.1/-4.5°C (66/23°F) at Romorantin among the larger ones

Environment Canada reported no precipitation yesterday even though we definitely got a cm or two of snow. I guess they just didn't get any at the airport? Well we're supposed to have some more tomorrow so maybe they'll actually register some this time.

For Riga, my source has 12C and sun for this Friday though. Your forecast looks similar to mine besides the sunny days here. Might just end up being cloudy though...
