Yesterday morning I drove into Denver and there was really cool steam fog stuff on the way. The ground was all frosted and it was sunny with lots of low fog rising up.
The snow was originally supposed to come now but itβs still dry and in the low 40s. Now, the snow is supposed to start like 1-2 AM tomorrow.
Forecast is now for 15-27β through Sunday afternoon with more coming overnight Sunday.

Almost totally windless this morning, only 2km/h (1.2mph) of wind. Very cool!
Every day in the upcoming forecast has highs above freezing, so that's awesome. March is on track to be above average. It's almost looking like a repeat of 2019 in some ways, a very cold February followed by a decently early and consistent start to spring. Except in 2019 it turned into a much colder than normal late spring and summer, so I hope that doesn't happen this year.

rozenn Here're a few. So we could be looking at near-record levels there! Here showery weather continues, with reports of thunder in the western suburbs. Here we're getting sleet; windshields are whitish. Temp profile typical of this weather, yo-yoing between sunny intervals and downpours:

Well so much for the record snowfall. Today had a pitiful 2.6β (7 cm) and itβs stopped snowing now. Maybe more will come but it wonβt come close to the forecast.
Originally, the storm was supposed to start yesterday afternoon but we had rain and sleet this morning and it didnβt consistently turn to snow until like 2 PM. Fucking fizzer of a storm.

The bigger the hype, the anticipation, the bigger the fizzer.
Extremely cold this morning, a hideous 7.9C. Rediculous.

Could have first significant severe weather threat of the year here on Wednesday. Last severe weather events were in December and it's been quiet storm-wise since then. My threat might be highest in the morning hours of Wednesday and I'm guessing the event may peak over Mississippi that afternoon.

A lot of snow ended up falling last night and this morning. Iβd guesstimate 12-18β fell. Less than the forecasts but better than it looked yesterday.
Thereβs several downed trees under the weight of the snow which I havenβt seen before so thatβs cool.
We had a blizzard warning today. Winds were completely calm at my house yet Loveland airport, which is farther out on the plains had genuine blizzard conditions with 40-50 mph gusts and snow all afternoon. Big difference being farther east makes.
