Definitely Yellowknife for me Why, if I may ask? I went with Yellowknife Whitehorse for being the sunniest, and having the warmest summers. EDIT: Changed my vote after double-checking the stats, sorry

They are all epic fails. There is a reason why only roughly 100K people live in Northern Canada.

All are complete crap, but I'll go with Yellowknife for having the warmest summers (average high above 70, no recorded freezes in July)

Whitehorse is warmer than Winnipeg in winter....
Having been to all three multiple times I vote for Yellowknife, nicer summer highs and much warmer lows being on the lake.
Whitehorse temps are way too inconsistent.
YK has a 30 day longer growing season than Whitehorse as well.

That 55Β°F low for June is amazing for somewhere so far north in Canada. I bet it feels amazing going outside and not being freezing cold like you would in Whitehorse where average summer lows are in the mid 40s. Also, they are much more dry than Whitehorse's summers which is wonderful.

They're all pretty good. I'll go with Yk this time. I chose Iqaluit when you made this last time but I changed my mind. In recent years it seems like Yellowknife has had the best potential for extreme cold in the winter. Also I'm familiar with it and I like the general feel of the area.

I saw your video of you walking around holding that big thermometer lol. I really enjoyed that video actually. I agree. YK has had some extreme cold in these past years, especially during this winter when it got down to -51Β°F.

Whitehorse, has the best "warm" season of the lot. Interesting that their record lows are colder than Yellowknife's even though the later is an order of magnitude colder in winter.

I think because Whitehorse is at a much higher elevation so it cools off more during night, and Yellowknife is located on a lake so that helps moderate temperatures and limits extreme minima during summertime while the lake is ice free.

The climates of the great white north, definitely aren't actually that great.
Reluctantly I'll pick Whitehorse for having the "warmest" winters. Iqaluit especially is utterly dreadful.

This is actually a fairly tough one, but I think I'll go with Whitehorse for being warmer overall even if their summers are weaker than Yellowknife's. I particularly feel like the extra warmth in the shoulder seasons would make a big difference.
It should be noted that although Yellowknife is much colder in the winter it's also a fair bit less windy. That definitely made this is a tougher decision for me, as wind is the biggest deciding factor in how cold it feels at those temperatures.

Whitehorse has really weak summers, which doesn't really sit well with me, and winters are really windy; I have Whitehorse in my weather app and during winter half the time it is always at "blowing snow". The spring warm up in April probably feels incredible after those long, bitterly cold winters. Now if Whitehorse had Yellowknife's summer temperatures that would be very close to my dream climate.

I'll go for Whitehorse having the least frost day count.
