Boring but pleasant month. Driest month since April 2020, so yeah...pretty dry for this time of year.

The best March in my 20 years in Toronto, not exaggerating. Shades of March 2012 (without the summer-like heat which was a major red flag for the entire country). This is what March should be like in my fantasy climate.

2.8F warmer than normal and 2.33" drier than normal. Stayed warm and humid for a while and had a brief cool snap mid-month. Didn't really get much from severe weather events that affected other parts of the South. Driest month since November 2019. Lowest max: 54F Highest min: 71F Lowest dewpoint: 71F Lowest dewpoint: 22F

^ I'd honestly be annoyed as fuck to have March colder than January even if it's relatively mild, typical of the shitty ass seasonal lag of Mediterranean climates. Lol Well it's not normal for March to be colder than January, but even so the strength of the sun (& the amount of sunshine) it felt warmer than January anyway. And seasonal lag works both ways, it's warmer here later into the year, so it's swings & roundabouts really.

In here the last month mostly stood out for being much drier than usual ( 4th driest March since 1953 for the region). Also the warm spell in the very last days of the month was quite remarkable. Looking at the charts, here there is the one for the closest weather station to my village: Here there is the weather station for the Turin airport: And here the main weather station in the Turin metro area, which is the most representative for the apartment where I'm staying now for work:

March 2021 in London. A dry and cloudy month with average temperatures, though managed to record the warmest March temp on record at Heathrow. *Sunshine hours are estimated corrected values. How tf was it that cloudy? Paris 200 miles away was twice as sunny FFS.

This doesn't explain why we're not in the middle of that same cloudy spell despite being a couple hundred miles away. Strange stuff.

March started out humid, stable and cloudy as low pressure brought 2 months worth of rainfall in the first few days. A heatwave dominated the 15th-21st period with a cooler, more "crisp" spell of weather afterwards. The month was tied up with a late heatwave peaking at 39C on the 29th. Overall it was warmer, cloudier, wetter and more humid than usual. Sun hours are 372.9 for both. I read from the evap column for perth metro. Perth Metro: High Max: 39.0C (29th) Mean Max: 29.9C (+0.3C) Low Max: 22.9C (1st) Anomaly: +0.55C High Min: 25.5C (10th) Mean Min: 17.6C (+0.8C) Low Min: 11.1C (26th) Rain: 40.6mm (199% of average 20.4mm) Sun: 256.6 hours Hours/day: 8.4 (-1.1 compared to average 9.5) Jandakot: High Max: 38.2C (29th) Mean Max: 29.6C (0.0) Low Max: 23.2C (1st) Anomaly: +0.65C High Min: 25.5C (10th) Mean Min: 16.8C (+1.3C) Low Min: 8.7C (25th) Rain: 41.6mm (246% of average 16.4mm) Sun: 256.6 hours Hours/day: 8.4 (-1.1 compared to average 9.5)
