Interesting how as soon as the ashes finish the english stop talking in this thread. It's almost as they....lost or something like that. I'm not English, then actual English abandoned this thread weeks ago

D'arcy Short just hit 122* off ~65 balls. Absolute legend. Also in the last 3 games before this he's hit 42, 96 and 97

That Jofra Archer caught and bowled was epic. Just came up on my news feed.

Last time I watched Australia in T20 I got autographs from Dirk Nannes and Callum Ferguson, are those two still playing? I was also the only person to get Collingwood's autograph

I'm going to the feb 10 match, that should be fun!
Those two are playing in first class cricket I think, not sure if they're in the big bash or not

Decent article here about why so many series are one-sided in favour of the home team: www.bbc.co.uk/sport/cricket/42590656Apparently away teams overall are no less likely to win now than they've ever been, but I'd have to look up the scores of some old Ashes series because I bet that's not true for England in Australia.

I notice the comments sections under ever cricket article the BBC write are very critical of their journalism. I think the main problem is the lack of any free-to-air coverage. It's killed the game at grassroots level.

Noticed you Aussies have been quiet recently. Typical The ODIs were always going to be one-sided. They don't really count though even when we win 5-0.

I should start following ODIs more often with the team we've got now lol, they always seem to get overlooked in this country especially since T20s have come in.

I don't really see the appeal of ODI's anymore. They're too short to have tactically interesting like Test matches, but too long to give the quick, exciting thrill of T20's. I think eventually for the good of the game one format is going to have to be squeezed out, and I think ODI's will have to make way.
In the future I think the majority of matches will be T20's, but Test matches will still be seen as the pinnacle of the game.
