I was legit sad for the rest of the day because of this, I didn't think it'd affect me as much as it did.

I'm surprised by how much coverage it's getting. It's currently the lead story on BBC News, and has been on the front of all the papers, and now the Prime Minister of Australia has had his say. I don't see how the match can continue with those guys on the field. When Pakistan were accused of ball-tampering here about 10 years ago, the match was immediately abandoned.

Well smith's been banned for one test, and Australia are currently batting in the fourth innings. I thought that they would declare, but there's no way we'll win from here anyway.
Thing is, this whole test series has been a shitfest. I'm really surprised at the way events have unfolded in South Africa tbh.

Steve Smith is an Aussie He wears a baggy cap And when he saw some sticky tape He said I'm having that... He gave it Cameron Bancroft Who rubbed it on the ball Those cheating Aussie convicts They'll never change at all!

What exactly did they do? How do you even "tamper with a ball"?

What exactly did they do? How do you even "tamper with a ball"? It changes the way the ball behaves in the air, making it more likely to "reverse-swing", especially in the right climatic conditions. It basically makes the ball behave like this: The Aussies certainly aren't the first to do it, but the nature in which they've carried it out this time is beyond belief.

smith and warner got banned for 12 months, bancroft for 9 months Damn, was hoping for 18 months for Smith, let's see you play an Ashes tour without your best player To be fair that's about what I was expecting, the damage to their reputation is a heavy punishment in itself. Though from what I've seen I'll be surprised if Warner comes back at all. How the fuck has Lehmann got away with it though?!

It should be 12 months without any form of cricket, including nets or training sessions.
I can't wait to see them being torn apart like vultures, by the fans at Edgbaston.

Some in that team are playground bullies. Great at dishing out personal abuse, but cry like babies when they get it back. It was laughable when they complained about abuse from the South African crowd, any team that's toured Australia found that hilarious, since their crowds back home are renowned for being vicious. Warner in particular has had it coming for a while, many in cricketing circles are sick and tired of him.
And let's be honest, this isn't the first time they've tampered with the ball, it almost certainly took place during the Ashes, although that's not the reason why England lost.

It's about time the old boy's club in the England setup was cleared out. Cook is dead wood, Root shouldn't be captain, and Strauss needs to make way.

Tamper with the ball, it worked for us in clearing out some nasty influences

They're not nasty influences, they're upstanding gentleman who are polite to Mr Strauss and the selectors. Our best players are those with a bit of fire in their bellies, like KP and Stokes. Unfortunately KP's face didn't fit so he was forced out.

Get rid of the yes men and dead wood basically. Cook is past it, Vince is crap, Ali shouldn't get the squad again at least as a spin bowler, Broad is walking a tightrope, Anderson is our best bowler by far, but he's not getting any younger.
The fact that KP hasn't played a test in 4 years is a huge waste of a unique talent, he could have helped the team a lot.
