why do south africa always chase down our 400s lol, they've done it in multiple formats Yeah, I recall that epic ODI where Australia set a world record and then SA chased it down lol.

Still the best ODI ever, even if we lost just exciting, especially brett lee taking a couple of wickets in the final over I believe

As brilliant a session as it was for India, it was a very curious one for England and especially Joe Root's captaincy.
The hosts didn't so much as left the game drift but veer wildly off a mountain road and into a ravine.
It seems Root doesn't trust Adil Rashid much and the leg-spinner offered no control, resulting in Root himself bowling plenty of overs as England were just holding out for the new ball.
But then India were scoring a bit too quickly so Stuart Broad and James Anderson were called for with the old ball.
A drawn out way of saying Root is completely clueless.

India need 166 in the final session to win the Test. Five teams have made more than that in a final session to win a game.
...KL Rahul whips James Anderson up and over mid-wicket for four.
This is on.
I wish I was home to watch this now. Seems like an exciting session ahead.

Anderson beats McGrath.

James Anderson must be the only pace bowler I know of to still be improving at the age of 36, when most players are retired or thinking about doing so. www.bbc.co.uk/sport/cricket/45221065

Siddle bowled well given that we are playing on national highway 1. Still a very ordinary performance by the team as a whole, but we clawed back a bit.

Those decks in Dubai are like roads, I wouldn't be surprised if the Aussies also put a big total together.

Hopefully I'll be presently surprised, but it's hard not to be pessimistic. Well I remember when England were there. Everyone and their dog were scoring double centuries. They're just really dull pitches, no different than if you rolled one in the middle of the outback. Don't be surprised if it ends as a high-score draw.

Well we've managed a century opening stand so far, so yeah. There's more life in Tony Greig than in this pitch.
