England have finally found some form. Any predictions for the Ashes series this summer? It's later than usual to accomodate the world cup.
1st Test: 1-5 Aug @ Edgbaston, Birmingham Australia collapse twice and suffer a heavy 200 run+ defeat in the opening test. Warner bags a pair and is relentlessly heckled by the crowd. 1-0
2nd Test: 14-18 Aug @ Lord's, London Both sides have batting collapses, but England's bowling attack proves too much and they win an Ashes test at Lord's for only the 2nd time since 1934. 2-0
3rd Test: 22-26 Aug @ Headingley, Leeds Australia get bowled out for 80 and 120 as they once again struggle to deal with the England bowlers. England win by an innings. 3-0
4th Test: 4-8 Sep @ Old Trafford, Manchester England look to be cruising to victory following yet another Australian batting collapse, but rain saves Australia and they escape with a draw. 3-0
5th Test: 12-16 Sep @ The Oval, London England collapse on a spinners paradise. Australia win with their best batting performance of the summer. 3-1

1st test: edgbaston- england win by 130 runs. A dominant first innings from england and a shaky first innings from australia gives england a great advantage. England 1-0
2nd test: lords- england by an innings and 60 runs. They skittle australia both innings and make a handy first innings themselves. Australia makes a big shuffle up of their list. England 2-0.
3rd test: headingley- draw due to rain. England post 400 and 180 but a huge atlantic storm postpones play and cannot be restarted. England 2-0.
4th test: old trafford- australia by 5 runs. Australia make 450 in their first innings thanks to centuries from smith and burns. The australian bowling attack lead by cummmins and lyon keep the brits to ~250. Australia falter in their second innings (~100) but are able to get england all out just in time in one of the greatest test finishes. England 2-1
5th test: the oval- glenn maxwell is selected to play at 6th but at the last minute is subbed out for shaun marsh amid great criticism. At 4/35 in the 1st session shaun marsh strolls onto the pitch. Dispatching anderson and broad for boundaries and taking every delivery with the ability of a man who trains smart. Smith starts to notice something different about shaun marsh, something unlike marsh. When s.marsh gets his century he takes his helmet off to reveal...IT WAS MAXWELL ALL ALONG. He finishes the test 401* (400) alongside nathan lyon with a handy 18* (78) as australia streamroll england twice at 45 and 55 to give australia a record breaking win of an innings and 765 runs.
After the game: Smith and selectors- "thanks maxy, we'll never drop you again" Maxwell simply smiles and walks off into the millions of adoring fans as australia claims a draw and holds onto the ashes.
Australia 2-2 England

Disappointed there's no posts of JG and Noodle celebrating a drawn Ashes series.

Disappointed there's no posts of JG and Noodle celebrating a drawn Ashes series. And if anyone was going to win the drawn test at Lord's, it was England. We used some pretty inept tactics in the first test though, and threw it away after having them collapse twice. Seeing Warner fail at every occasion, and Smith smashed on the head by Archer, was satisfying.

You can always trust SA to choke, which has made this series entertaining so far.

England’s batting leaves a lot to be desired at times. Root doesn’t seem to know how to bat anymore
