New normals have been released: www.ncei.noaa.gov/access/search/data-search/normals-monthly-1991-2020Also here: www.ncei.noaa.gov/access/us-climate-normals/I'm sure in the next few weeks they will be adding everything to NOWData and other databases. Use this thread is discuss interesting changes you've found either in your own climate or anywhere else. I'll start with some very warm lows. Key West now averages lows above 80 F (26.7 C) in July and August, the first U.S. location outside the Southwest to do so. Both NYC Central Park and LaGuardia have summer lows above 70 F. Central Park is 70.1 F (21.2 C) in July, and LGA is 71.9 F (22.2 C) in July and 71.0 (21.7 C) in August. Death Valley now averages 117.4 F/91.0 F (47.4 C/32.8 C) in July. Its July mean temp is now above 40 C.

Here are the official normals here Temps are the same as the raw data, precipitation and snowfall are an insignificant amount more. The most interesting change is with the new daily normals. February highs warm 5.3 f throughout the month yet April highs only warm 4.5 f. Keep in mind this is a continental climate at 40 N so that is a pretty crazy stat. May warms almost 3 times as much as April in terms of highs.

Here're the new normals: Average lows have cooled by 0.2Β°F from the 1981-2010 normals, more so for the summer (by 0.3Β°F for JJA). No significant changes to precipitation averages, but winter and the shoulder seasons have become slightly drier, whereas summer is slightly wetter (+0.26" for JJA). December is the month which has warmed the most (by 1.0Β°F and 0.8Β°F for average highs and average lows respectively, likely skewed by December 2015 though).

Marcelo Steelernation tommyFL Decided to create a weather box for Death Valley. I know the 134Β°F record high is suspect but I'm including it anyway as it's still in NOWData.

Key West. Slightly wetter and 1.1 F warmer annually. Most noteworthy change is the 80 F+ lows in Jul and Aug.

Your normals link makes no sense, New Bern NC got cooler but Hatteras warmed by 4 degrees? DC warms by 2 degrees but Richmond cools by .2? Not too mention in the averages released during a daily briefing last week there was a discrepancy between some of the stations, in the briefing atlanta warmed by .6 but in your link 1.2. We will see what gets officially released the 4th but if these are the averages it makes absolutely 0 sense. Maybe there is good reason and we will get an explanation May 4. Another crazy thing on these new normals, random thing i noticed but danvilla va has avg july highs of 90.8 now? No way in hell they warmed 3.8 degrees in 10 years ! HUH!

What Danville station are you looking at? There are 3. "Danville" doesn't have have normals anymore, that leaves Danville Regional Airport and Danville 2 SE.

Oklahoma City's normals cooled by nearly 1Β°F, but the raw averages increased by 0.4Β°F. Something's fishy here.

Make this shit make sense
Hereβs some actual average highs vs pulled out of someoneβs ass average highs
Buffalo: Raw 56.9 f Normal 56.8 f Syracuse: Raw 58.1 f Normal 57.6 f
Ok that doesnβt sound so bad, but then Rochester IN BETWEEN them
Rochester: Raw 57.8 f Normal 58.5 f
Explain to me how 2 cities close to each other with similar climate patterns are cooler than raw data but another similar city in between them warms almost an f on the raw data.
Rochester is now warmer than Syracuse every month. Hint hint...itβs not. Rochester has never been warmer than Syracuse in the summer and never will be.
Oh and Syracuse still gets 2 more 90s which doesnβt match up with the βnormalsβ at all. Well at least they got something right.
Well it could be Midland, Texas with 2 f added to its raw average lows.

This is appalling on so many levels. The inconsistencies are astounding, you would have to be an ass wipe to believe in global warming after this.
