Total tally for yesterday's rain event here: 0.79" (20 mm), Hollywood got 1.24" (31.5 mm) and Fort Lauderdale (FLL) got 0.90" (23 mm), FXE got 1.10" (28 mm) so a decent rain in the area, but not eye popping numbers. Some places in inland Broward got more than 2" (51 mm) however and some areas inland surpassed 4" (101.6 mm) so a big rainfall for them. Today's predicted to be another rainy day, with 1-2" (25.4 - 50.8 mm) predicted but we'll see again. Predicted high is 89 F (31.7 C) today and it's 82 F (27.8 C) with a 76 F dew point (24.4 C) as of 9 am. Rain chances today: High temperatures today:

First interesting cold snap entering Central Argentina.
Buenos Aires Observatory recorded 4.5°C this morning, while the Airport reached -0.4°C. Neither was the coldest value year to date, though.
In Northern Patagonia, Neuquén got -6.5°C and General Roca -8.5°C, which is quite chilly for the Río Negro valley, where they are located. Tough morning for the ‘citrus challenge’ in a region known for its fruit farming (apples, pears, peaches). Maquinchao, on the plateau, reached -15.3°C.
Tomorrow some snow is expected for Central-Western Argentina, including an outside chance for Córdoba City, where it’s not a common occurrence. Nothing really relevant for the Eastern side, of course. Maybe some coolish highs and steadiness in the cool conditions.

Saskatoon is under a severe thunderstorm watch right now and a rather large storm is about to hit us. I can see the lightning and hear the thunder already. (edit: the watch was upgraded to a warning seconds after I posted this!)

This June is likely to become the warmest June of all-time. The national record is 19.0'C in Gothenburg 1992. Stockholm set 18.4'C as its record in 2019, then broke it in 2020 with 18.6'C. The first half of June has averaged 23.4/13.0/17.9 in Stockholm, and the forecast looks like this: It's very possible that we'll see stations break 20'C means this June, smashing the previous all-time record, as well as some stations, like Stockholm, breaking their all-time record for the third year in a row, which is insane.

Copped a proper lashing from the North'Wester just now; up to 16 mm/hr and down to 1.5° C under the current rainband (99% RH, blowing WNW) with loud thunder and active lightning. Thundersleeting outside—shame the airmass isn't cold enough for a settling snowfall.

Now –0.4° C and snowing heavily. The snow level seems to be around 650–700 m AMSL (snowing in Tumbarumba)…a far cry from the forecast > 1,200 m. A real anti-fizzer this one!

Finally it did snow in Córdoba city and the whole event ended up being the best snow event in Central Argentina since the epic 2007 snowfall. In fact I don’t remember another snowfall from Córdoba city within this frame of time other than maybe some scattered snowflakes.
The cities of San Luis, Villa Mercedes, Río Cuarto and San Rafael (all of them +100k people) got significant accumulation and still snowing at 2pm. Mendoza got awfully bypassed and reported zero precipitation.
