With less than a week to go for the month of June, Darwin Airport is running about 1.0c above average for max and min temps. Rainfall is non existant as per normal for June, although the humidity levels are somewhat higher than normal for this time of the year.

Madona is situated in the Vidzeme Highland, they have one of coldest temperatures in winter as well, together with Zoseni and Aluksne. Low 23.3C, high 32.2C in Riga today. Dry, sunny all day. Wow, complete opposite for me. Today high was 23 C, low is 11 C. Partly cloudy with wind. Tomorrow is 19 C, and the morning is just 8 C, closing in on a record low for the first day of summer. Points to the NW are dipping even lower. I'm searching for a sweater to wear to start my first day of summer . I saw a low of 48 F (9 C) on my weather station this morning. DISGUSTING. After today, the forecast looks a little better, but nothing too exciting either. I guess it's how Mother Nature punishes us after the warmth we had earlier in the month.

First half of June was very good by our standards (low 70's and plenty of sun) though boring, and now we're paying with mid-teens overcast garbage and more troughs than a farmyard infesting the forecast. It is typical "payback" weather; just hope it doesn't keep going on and on into July! I'm still awaiting the first proper "Spanish Plume" of the summer, and the first thunder! No thunder at all so far. The storm in May might be the only one of the year, I joked about that but God forbid if it's actually true.

Record low broken today. Old record low was 45 F. Today's low was 43 F. Some places got into the upper 30's F. Frigid for summer 🥶. First day of summer is sweater and jeans weather. Further up north, Grayling got down to 35 F, with patchy frost being reported. Hopefully this brief frost during peak growing season doesn't damage the Cherry and apple trees. w1.weather.gov/data/obhistory/KGOV.html

Coolest afternoon temperatures throughout Île-de-France region since 26 May. Both Montsouris and Roissy weather stations recorded a daily low around 15h when rain clouds passed.

AJ1013 omegaraptor I usually trust ECMWF's forecasts (western US aside), but Portland's is the most rediculous I've ever seen:

33.6C seems to have been the highest temp today in Finland, so no new record, but still impressive heat. Several stationwide records have been broken of course.

nei what's with that random 5.32" in NW CT? Has to be an error unless it's some extremely localized rainfall. Had a very warm night last night, didn't drop below 83 F (28.3 C) w1.weather.gov/data/obhistory/KMIA.html quite oppressive. FLL recording an 80 F (26.7 C) dew point with a 108 F (42.2 C) heat index as of 1 pm as well. They didn't drop below 80 F (26.7 C) even with a thunderstorm that was reported. w1.weather.gov/data/obhistory/KFLL.html

Hottest day for Turku so far with a 31.2C high and 20.7C low (26.0C mean). Very rare for us to have "tropical" nights in June.
Kuopio recorded a 23.0C low which would've been probably pretty close to the June all time record (IDK what it is), but alas, just before reset at 21:00 it went down to 22.4C. Still impressive as their high was 33.0C.
