Wouldn't most of the antarctic be in complete darkness right now??

Wouldn't most of the antarctic be in complete darkness right now?? there'd be dusk/twilight for a few hours closer to the Antarctic Circle. Complete darkness by Vostok, but complete darkness doesn't make a good photo

First time in a while when we actually overshot the forecast. FMI had us for a 24C high, but it ended up to be 27.0C. Nice evening as well, with the temp still being 20.7C at 22:40.

It got up to 97°F (36°C) in Portland, Maine today. That's the hottest temperature there since 2016, and the hottest June day since 1991. But June 28, 1991 hit 98°F (37°C), so no record was set.
Edit: it's only 76°F (24.5°C) here, so we're a lot colder than much of the rest of the country.

Classic. Almost the exact same date as the one from last year too. It's gotta be infuriating - especially considering the obs I've seen you post lately.

Hot with 96/77 here today, hottest temp of the year so far. Not even that humid, DP just 67, so it was not oppressive. Newark was 99 today, so I feel confident they will hit 100 tomorrow and/or Wednesday.
Here it overperformed the NWS forecast by 4. Winds were mainly SSW, so if we can get more of a west flow tomorrow, there's a chance it hits 100 here. Lows should be around 80 in the deep UHI and upper 70s here, so a good launching pad. Unlike 100s in July (which average about one per year) 100s in June are extremely rare and notable. It would be just the 4th occurrence if that happens, the others being 1952, 2008, and 2017.

Pretty typical summer temperatures today, overnight low was 79 F (26.1 C), although it's dropped a bit further now due to rain, currently 78 F (25.6 C) with a 73 F (22.8 C) dew point. Headed up to 90 F (32.2 C) today with an 80% chance of showers and storms. Very high chances of rain everywhere in Southern FL for today, within the 70-90% range everywhere: High temps rather uniform as well:
