This is potentially our last hot weekend of the year. We have a forecast high of 36C today and 34C tomorrow. After that we hit 27C on Monday and then drop mostly into the low 20s for the rest of the week. Mid-30s don't typically happen too much later in the year than this so I expect this will be our last one. We could hit the low 30s once or twice in September though.

Been dry here the past week and a half. Highs mostly in the mid 90's this week.
More t-storm activity this weekend. I see storms on radar to the north that may head my way. Hopefully I get something. 94F with DP of 73F as of 1 PM.

We're at 36C again this afternoon. I think this is actually the last time, but damn. Never seen so many mid-30s in a summer before. This is by far the hottest summer I've ever experienced.

Already 87ยฐF (31ยฐC) with a 59ยฐF (15ยฐC) dew point as of now (9:15 AM)...I already had three consecutive days with highs >= 95ยฐF (35ยฐC) here (yesterday's high was warmer than Phoenix's by 2ยฐF...ahahahaha). Friday was very likely the hottest day of the year, still another shot for 95ยฐF today before a cold front pushes through Tuesday. Onshore flow should limit temps to the lower 90s Monday, dew points will be higher (upper 60s to the lower 70s Monday afternoon/evening). -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Meanwhile in Spain, Montoro reached 117.0ยฐF yesterday... Torremocha del Jiloca had a 121.9ยฐF thermal amplitude this year

Had some heavy falls the past few days. Plus we came within half a degree of breaking the August record high on the 9th:

A really boring August here. Extremely consistent temps - highest max just 22.6ยฐC, avg. max 20.4ยฐC. No convection to speak of. Very overcast, with only light rain or drizzle falling. Hopefully something interesting will happen before the summer is out.

We ended up getting 1.22" (31.5 mm) from this "storm", better than nothing I guess but a huge letdown, we were predicted 4-7" (101.6 mm - 177.8 mm) at one point which got downgraded to 3-5" (76.2 mm - 127 mm).
We had an overnight low of 76 F (24.4 C) here, due to rain-cooled temperatures. 82 F (27.8 C) with a 77 F (25 C) dew point as of 8 am, headed up to 89 F (31.7 C) today with a 50% chance of showers and thunderstorms.

Damn, we ended up hitting 37.5C yesterday! That's our 2nd hottest temperature of the year and also our 30th high above 30C this year.
A little summary of our summer heat this year, the number of days with highs at or above (plus number of highs within half a degree of the threshold):
30C - 30 (plus 4 rounded) 32C - 19 (plus 1 rounded) 34C - 11 (plus 3 rounded) 35C - 6 (plus 2 rounded) 40C - 1

Dropped down to 56 F/13 C this morning which was a very pleasant surprise. Looking nice the next couple of days with partly sunny skies, lower humidity and highs around 80 F/27 C.

In SoCal currently but anyway back home had high/low of 91/78 yesterday, and then today a cold front passed thru dry bringing nice dewpoint relief.
Out here boring but comfortable โ 77/65 every day. There was a literal one minute rain shower yesterday lol.

In the Bay Area for a couple months. Right next to the coast . And damn the weather is soooo much nicer than the east coast this time of year. Been several months since I been this comfortable, indoors or outdoors. Best thing is โฆnot even a single 80f in the extended forecast. Some days will barely reach 70! Lows in the 50s and dews in the 50s, still quite a bit warmer than ideal but Iโll take it.

Well today was a fail. We had a forecast high of 30C but only hit around 24C. I blame it on the smoke, when I woke up this morning the sky was "Mexico in a Hollywood film" levels of yellow.
