Beercules intense wind That high of wind would be very cold, but -10 the apparent temp is off. 11 feels like -10? 7 feels like -18? Lol. I did not know Canada had the same style of drought monitor as the US. Winnipeg and Saskatoon are in D4, the most severe. I don't see any US posters living in D4. Maybe Firebird when he's traveling. Phoenix and Tucson were in D4 before the wet July.

Very warm morning here - 82 F (27.8 C) with a 77 F (25 C) dew point os of 5 am, high predicted at 90 F (32.2 C) with a 60% chance of showers and thunderstorms.
Forecast is a giant pile of steamy boring ass shit, and rain chances are fairly low too (mostly 20-30%). Fucking kill me now please.

A really boring August here. Extremely consistent temps - highest max just 22.6°C, avg. max 20.4°C. No convection to speak of. Very overcast, with only light rain or drizzle falling. Hopefully something interesting will happen before the summer is out.
Similar story here. Highest 24.7C, lowest 8.2C. Avg high 22.0C, avg low 13.2C.
44 mm of precipitation, but a few nice thunderstorms.
August so far here:
Highest: 25.3c
Avg high: 22.5c
Avg low: 13.2c
Lowest: 10.6c
38mm of precipitation so far, and looking like a sub-150 hour month.

Astrakhan in southern Russia has been having hot and dry weather for almost 2 months now. In the past two months only 5 days have had highs below normal, and only two days saw rain. In mid-June, they started having 35C highs regularly. The only wet day after the 14th was on the 30th (14mm) July had many 35-40 highs with nothing below 30. The 27th was the only day with rain (2.1mm) August has been consistently in the upper 30's. No rainfall yet. June 29.3/17.4, 25mm July 32.0/19.6, 24mm August 30.7/18.1, 21mm Record high: 41.0

Chilly day today. Our forecast high was 18C and we got pretty close to it with an hourly high of 16.9C... at midnight. We were around 12C to 14C most of the day, by far our coldest day in a long time.

Nice. August has been diabolical here. The max of 22 all month could be the lowest ever? Not sure but it must be some kind of record.
Speaking of records; I wonder when the Met Orifice are finally going to calculate the 1991-2020 averages. I've already done so for several locations in the UK from their own data, including Sheffield. The summers in the UK are already not matching the Met Orifice's claims of summers getting "hotter and drier" in the UK. Infact, in the latest 30 years averages, they are getting wetter and cloudier, with any temp increase mostly coming from higher minimum temperatures. Why are they lying? It is now becoming normal for summer months in the UK to have 30-50 fewer sunshine hours than in the 1981-2010 averages.

Meanwhile here on the tip of the penis, it's 84 F (28.9 C) with a 77 F (25 C) dew point as of 7 am. That's actually our lowest hourly OBS thus far. Jesus fucking Christ, kill me now. High is predicted today to be 91 F (32.8 C) with only a 20% chance of showers .

56f this fine August morning in Berkeley. The sun is rising over the hills but it’s beautifully shrouded in fog/haze. Looks like a large vague reddish orb. I almost feel a bit chilly doing my usual ice coffee run, being acclimated to some moronic 85f garbage and all. Not chilly enough though.

70.2 mm of rainfall during the last 6 days, and more is coming today, but the accumulation should be quite light.
Helsinki has seen 125 hours of sunshine this month, and I guess the tally is pretty similar in Turku. So, normal levels. Average at Helsinki Airport is 233 hours in August (1999-2020).
