Storm in the area this evening. A local meteorologist got a time lapse of rotation with storm cell. I didn't notice this where I was. I got this pic of a rainbow. I only had about a tenth of an inch of rain in my gauge.

High/low of 95/76 in a dry heat too, DP of 55 and RH of 27%. Dry heat is the best! Jetskiied and wakesurfed in a lake up in CT today, water temps were borderline swimmable in the low 70s.

According to TWC, Inverell (29.8° S; 580 m) could get sleet/wet snow on Thursday. That 4° C max, if it comes off, will also be a record for June at all Inverell sites—with records spanning back to 1874 (!!).

The BOM has Armidale (980m) asl at -2/4c and Inverell at 1/5c on Thursday. From my time in Armidale in the late'70's, that seems like a definate 'snow dump' kinda day in Armidale, Walcha, Uralla and Guyra. Heavier in Guyra of course with an altitude of 1330m asl. The New England Highway usually gets closed at Black Mountain under these conditions. I would be surprised to see flakes at Inverell, but that forecast is compelling, hard to see temps that low in the town, but ya never know ! ( from weatherzone ) Snow, flooding and damaging winds on the way "An outbreak of severe wintry weather will affect southeastern and eastern Australia this week, with damaging winds, heavy rain, thunderstorms, flooding, widespread snow and hail. A strong cold front will impact southern Australia on Monday and Tuesday, leading to widespread rain and damaging winds. The front will then create a cut-off low pressure system over NSW, which will move slowly east and produce rain, storms, snow and hail across Victoria, NSW and southern Queensland. -- WIND -- The cold front will cause powerful winds in SA, Tasmania and Victoria on Monday and Tuesday. Severe weather warnings have been issues for damaging gusts in some areas. Parts of SA and Victoria may experience northwesterly wind gusts strong enough to exceed the safe operating speeds of wind turbines, possibly leading to a reduction in wind power. From Wednesday, a developing low pressure system will cause winds to strengthen over eastern Tasmania, eastern Victoria and southern NSW. These winds may be strong enough to cause structural damage and bring down trees. -- RAIN -- The passage of the front and low pressure system will also cause widespread rain across SA, Tasmania, Victoria, NSW, the ACT and southern Queensland between Monday and the weekend. Heavy rain and thunderstorms are then likely to affect eastern Victoria and southeastern NSW on Wednesday and Thursday, as the low pressure system moves over Tasman Sea. Accumulated totals over these two days are a good chance of reaching 100-200mm and may exceed 300mm in some areas, which brings a high risk of flooding in this region. There are even indications that 100-200mm could fall in just 12 hours overnight Wednesday into Thursday morning -- COLD -- One of the main features of this weather event will be widespread, abnormally cold weather for several days and nights. A large pool of cold air that originated near Antarctica will spread across Australia’s southeastern states between Monday and Friday. This frigid polar air will send shivers across multiple states and see a surge in heater use. -- SNOW -- Widespread and low-level snow will fall across several states this week. Unlike regular cold fronts, these cut-off lows often cause snow-bearing cold air to venture further north into NSW and sometimes even reaching southern Queensland. There is still some uncertainty between forecast models regarding when, where and how much snow will fall from this system. At this stage, there is a good chance of snow in the mainland Alps for several days from Tuesday. Snow will also extend up ranges and tablelands in central and northern NSW on Wednesday and Thursday, with a chance of some snow in southern Queensland late Wednesday or on Thursday. While the Alps are likely to see heavy snow from this system, there is a chance that snow will tend to rain in Victoria and southern NSW from Thursday as warmer air moves in from the southeast. This may erode some of the newly-laid snow base, especially for lower slopes in the mountains. As the cold air pushes north, it may coincide with a surge of moisture and deliver a period of sustained and heavy snow in central or northern NSW on Wednesday or Thursday. Some computer models suggest that more than 20cm of snow could accumulate in up to the northern highlands in NSW by the end of Thursday. Be sure to keep checking the latest forecasts and warnings throughout the week and be sure to have some warm clothes and heating ready to go.

The nearest station to you, Farmingdale, recorded 90/71 lmfao. 95/76 my ass. Edit: Even Farmingdale is likely too warm. CWOP in Roselyn recorded 92/65 yesterday.

Already up to 20.9'C SST's in the sea outside Kronoby. Got up to 18.0'C SST's by the Umean coast today. Wow that’s warm already for the sea. The large lakes around here are at 18C now. Lake Winnipeg and lake of the woods. Last July the lakes around here got quite warm with 30c surface temps. Lake of the woods had 28c surface readings and that’s a pretty large lake.

27.0C was the high temp today, with some scattered funder in the afternoon. So no new heat record of the year here. Low to mid 20s the next days.

3rd consecutive day in the 90s and sunny! High/low of 93/76, in reality the low was probably more like 72 due to less UHI here. Similar temperature but uncomfortable outside today. Was 95F with a dry heat yesterday (DP of 55), which felt more pleasant than today's DP of 69.

Not often you see a 3 day forecast like this in Australia at 30*S. Guyra could be in for a decent dump of snow. This was Guyra in late June 1977, with 60cm in the paddocks at Black Mountain, just south of town.

Officially a heatwave here today reaching 92 F/33 C. A quick thunderstorm dropped very heavy rain this afternoon. Sun came back and as of the 7PM update it is 81 F/27 C with a dewpoint of 76 F/24 C...highest of the year.
Tomorrow and Wednesday doesn't look quite as hot but will still be in the mid-to-upper 80s with thunderstorm chances before a somewhat dramatic cooldown for the end of the week with Friday's high only forecast to reach 70 F/21 C.

Already up to 20.9'C SST's in the sea outside Kronoby. Got up to 18.0'C SST's by the Umean coast today. What makes it more interesting is that the surface temperature in the water in Södertälje, SW of Stockholm, is only like 11-12'C.

Didn't quite get our third 80 F (26.7 C) low in a row, 79 F (26.1 C) as of 7 am with a 72 F (22.2 C) dew point. Had a really brief shower that dropped an enormous 0.02" (0.5 mm) of rain this morning.
Headed up to 88 F (31.1 C) today with mostly sunny skies. More boring ass weather.

I had no idea about race in Montmelo. 😀 There seem to be big differences in weather between coast and inland, North and South of Catalonia.
