Hot today, especially in inland FL: Just missed our fourth 80 F (26.7 C) low of the season by a twat hair last night, with a low of 79 F (26.1 C). 83 F (28.3 C) with a 75 F (23.9 C) dew point as of 8 am, predicted high is 90 F (32.2 C) with a 20% chance of storms.

We got 22.2mm (0.87") of rain yesterday as a thunderstorm passed through! And today we have showers in the forecast. Currently we're standing 36.9mm of rain for the month, more than half our average which is great.
Got several more 30C days in the forecast (and a 20C low, though of course that's not gonna happen) for early next week before returning back to normal conditions.

Apparently there was a partial solar eclipse yesterday. I was sunbathing at the time. Data from the uni station: In other news, this was the warmest night by far at the airport with a 14.1'C low. The low had been stable around 8'C for a week straight until some clouds rolled just after sunset last night. 14.2'C low at my PWS and a maximum dew point of 16.3'C

FMI is forecasting 5 for Umeå and 7 for Copenhagen.
Yes, unfortunately it seems that all forecasting services have different algorithms for determininh UV index. I always use Temis.nl as my "standard reference point" which always tends to be 1-1.5 indice below what other forecasting services forecast. Temis is saying 5.2 for Umeå today, which is very high compared to what temis usually forecasts. Just use GFS. spotwx.com/products/grib_index.php?model=gfs_uv&lat=63.82529&lon=20.26059&tz=Europe/Stockholm

That's not clear-sky. I like temis because they also show ozone thickness

That's not clear-sky. I like temis because they also show ozone thickness The temis clear-sky forecast seems over done though, looking at winnipeg, they have it forecast to reach above 9 the next few days. But when you look at the historical records since 2002, winnipeg has never had it above 9: www.temis.nl/uvradiation/UVarchive/stations_uv.phpIts only been up to 8 some times, with it 7 the rest of the higher sun summer months.

That's actually one weird thing. For some reason, NA always tends to have higher UVI from temis when the latitude, ozone and altitude is the same.

We had similar conditions here, just a degree or so cooler. But we should get some cool air from thunderstorm outflow pretty soon.

Some record-shattering cold further south this morning, with Fort Lauderdale Executive Airport (FXE) dropping to 47 F! www.wrh.noaa.gov/mesowest/timeseries.php?sid=KFXE&num=72&banner=gmap&raw=0&w=325Keep in mind that this is not an error in any way, same with the 100 F they had in April. Back in reality, it's the hottest day of the year by mean temp here. Had a low of 75.4 F (24.1 C) and reached 92.3 F (33.5 C) at my PWS earlier before clouding over.

FXE got a little taste of KB yesterday. 79 F (26.1 C) with a 75 F (23.9 C) dew point here as of 7 am, gonna be hot today with a predicted high of 92 F (33.3 C) with a 40% chance of thunderstorms in the PM.

Fairly uniform temps across southern Florida today, not much difference between inland and coast:

Looking interesting at the weekend: 9°C max temperatures in the UK and 27°C+ in the Netherlands. -image snipped- Classic example of that annoying pattern of all the warmth missing the UK. Today should be a near-perfect day here: high in the mid 80s, sunny, with a dew point in the lower 50s. Only shitty thing about it is the drought we're in!

Like 10°C colder than everywhere else on our latitude. 20°C colder than Europe on our latitude.
