If it hits 90 that will be 5 days with 90s in a row, which is officially considered a "heatwave". It’s 3 for the Northeast, not 5

Oklahoma City and Norman both had their first 90°F highs of the year today, almost a month later than average, but a few weeks earlier than the latest on record. It was humid as hell too, with dewpoints around 74-76°F (~24°C) most of the day. So not only was it the hottest day of the year so far, but also the humidest. It's funny how something like 90% of the contiguous US hit 90 before us.
Barring an unexpected drop in temperature, today will also be the first day of the year to not go below 70°F.

Snowfall total for the event at 8.3 cm here (948 m AMSL), taken about two hours ago before the rain put dents in it—raining at 3° C currently. These Cutoff Low type systems don't usually deliver much snow here, so it's a pretty good effort.

9.6C high in Bankstown, first sub-10 day since 1990 and coldest since 1983. Although that could change by 9am, so we'll see.

Notice where I am conveniently located: Meanwhile the special snowflakes ap nort' get the same kind of payouts they've been getting several nights in a row now. Tuesday night was just insulting, 1.51" in Wausau and not a drop here. Bloody hell.

Despite heavy rainfall for some areas of South Florida last week, drought conditions in the state did not improve other than along the central Gulf coast.

28.2/18°C (83/64°F) today. Quite a summery day, too bad the predicted storms didn't come to fruition.

High/low of 80/72 today, low diurnals despite the lack of rain due to easterly winds. Very pleasant and dry, quite optimal June weather.

Same fucking bullshit, different godforsaken day. 1.26" in Rhinelander in one hour ending at 2:53 pm. Down here: almost completely clear sky, and not a drop of rain.

Finally experiencing my first thunderstorm of the year! We had one come through overnight last week but I slept through it. Plenty of rain, too, which is great.

Yes, unfortunately it seems that all forecasting services have different algorithms for determininh UV index. I always use Temis.nl as my "standard reference point" which always tends to be 1-1.5 indice below what other forecasting services forecast. Temis is saying 5.2 for Umeå today, which is very high compared to what temis usually forecasts.
