Umeå airport: (and for fun this PWS right west of the city borders. Judging by the record highs it doesn't seem like it over-reads.) Well that was a shit month. It didn't end up that bad in the end due to the last five days of sunny and relatively warm weather, but the median high was only 11.4'C, and it was very cloudy apart from the last five days. At least it wasn't that wet. Temperature vs 1991-2020 (11-20) Average high: -1.0 (-1.3) Average low: -0.7 (-1.0) Average mean: -0.8 (-1.2) Precipitation vs 91-20: 81% Sunshine vs 91-20: 96%

Like most Mays: hot and dry. This month being shite wasn't unexpected, but this, along with 2020, had more hot days than usual. Averages (°F): 93/68 (around normal averages due to the two cold fronts) Records (°F): 104/58 Lowest high (°F): 82 Highest low (°F): 79 Rain: none

The entire SW has been pretty dry...

Unremarkable temperatures for May (+0.3C above average) but cloudier and rainier than most in recent years.

Do you think June will provide any rain? The entire SW has been pretty dry... I don’t remember the last time there has been a June with rain here. Cold fronts and wind, yes, but no rain. (Spoiler: there was rain) The monsoon can be erratic, I suppose.
