Chance of snow this weekend and next week, getting cold from Friday with highs close to freezing.
I’d rather we get some heavy snow rather than dry cold to at least make things interesting

Continuing from the extreme 2020 temps thread, here’s some more statistics for Colorado: Wettest: 50.10” at the Tower snotelDriest: 3.28” in Rifle
Rifle had the 3rd driest year ever of any place in Colorado.
Tower is a snotel station at 10,500’ in the mountains near Steamboat, Rifle is at 5,300’ in a western valley
Warmest mean: 56.9 f in Gateway Coldest mean: 33.4 f at the Never Summer snotel
Gateway is southwest of Grand junction near the Utah border. Kind of surprised somewhere in the SE wasn’t the warmest.
The Never Summer snotel is at 10,300’ in the mountains. Actually in the first county over from mine.
Snowiest: Technically it’s 270.4” in Climax. None of the Snotel stations report snowfall though, and many wild have had well over 300”.
The Tower snotel had the highest snow depth in the state at 134”, that’s 11 feet of snow!

Well I hope the coldies have had their fun this winter! Been the coldest/worst in maybe 10 years I believe? Can't wait to feel above average temps once more.

"Celebrating" the first ever recorded streak of 12 consecutive days with mean -10C or colder at Trondheim AP Værnes - Trondheim's 12 days of Siberia. The normal temps are the old 61-90 normal, they still haven't updated the web page with new normals. In those kind of High pressure calm and cold weather with inversion, the city is warmer. Here is my closest weather station in the city those same 12 days:

I'm not I'm afraid we should have at least received a blizzard first. Then bring on the spring... but it could be spring like 2018...One can only wish.

I wouldn't have minded a blizzard actually, at least it's more interesting than just having 2cm of snow.

Definitely is I like cold weather only for the possibility of seeing three things - Bright sunshine, Frost and snow. I barely saw snow, hardly any sunshine and frost? What frost maybe the air was too dry for that. Pointless.

Considering North, South, East and West of us have all had had at least a few inches of snow this winter, it's ridiculous!
