So far in Gothenburg: 21.1/10.2 (according to infoclimat, but they had data for each day). This is absolutely absurd for being the first half of May

The station called Uppsala on infoclimat has had 21.3/6.4 so far, and the one called Uppsala University has had an average high of 22.2'C.

But it is amazing that we all are reaching towards the hottest May ever, and only half of the monthi has passed!

Yes, I know what the ID is.
It's a WMO station with a WMO number. It's the same station that's used in the weatherbox. I what more can you ask of it?

I just wondered if it was legit. Having a WMO numer doesn't make it legit, but whatever.

Average high in York so far this month is 18.7C, and every day in the forecast for the next week is above 20C, so that average will climb a bit. We could realistically have a warmer May than July, but hopefully not.

Stations that have WMO numbers should be legit, as they have to meet certain criteria. It could of course be over reading but stations are meant to be calibrated/checked regularly. Maybe someone could contact the University for some info on the weather station there...

Our high today was only 6.3Β° C (1,210 m AMSL) with Orange scoring 9.6Β° C (945 m AMSL). Western plains were much cooler than the eastern ranges of the CT at similar elevation, with Lithgow upwards to 15Β° Cβas warm as Bathurst depsite being ~200 m higher.
Lithgow's Marrangaroo Defence station plummeted to β4.2Β° C this morn', with severe frost as usual. Mudgee, only 471 m & 32Β° S, is also making some hard frosts this month; down to β2.5Β° C this morning.
