Found a small interesting detail from 28 August 1997. Turku Airport recorded 29.8C, which is surely the highest temperature recorded so late in the season.
The nationwide record for September is 28.8C.

The drought is gone. I wished it would go on longer just for the fascination. If you're gonna have a near record drought, might as well have an extreme record drought.
Yesterday it rained maybe 2-7mm. Currently though, it's absolutely pouring down.

Squalls absolutely fierce right now—upwards to 56.38 knots recorded; daily maximum temperature 5.3° C, now 4.9° C. Very dark, ominous clouds rolling o'er the Abecrombie Ranges; these are the clouds that are forecast to snow on this region for the next three days or so. Squally rain currently, soon to be snowstorms.

Sounds nice mate but do you mind taking a pic of your squally weather conditions? Love that kind of weather. It's calmed down a bit now (squalls gusting only ~40-45 knots), but it will certainly get much squallier as the polar front itself moves in on me—for the next three days, in fact! I will catch the snowstorm and the squalliness all at once, so to speak. Not worth it to capture now, as this is only the beginning of the shitstorm

interesting article. goes to show just how insanely warm this years may was. google translate Now in June, climate scientists start to get a little perspective on how warm May really was. And the results are exceptional. In Stockholm, the average temperature was 16.1 degrees - something that statistically only happens three times in a million years."It's not uncommon for you to have a couple of days of summer heat but now we had almost a whole month that was hot here. May felt more like July, says Gustav Strandberg, climate researcher at SMHI.May month was warmer than normal almost throughout the country and SMHI's stations have recorded many new records. Some are more than 2 degrees higher than previous monthly average temperatures. It was only in the southernmost south and northernmost north as no record was struck."A couple of millions"In Stockholm there are temperature annotations from 1756, which is grateful for climate researchers who want as much information as possible. There, the average temperature in May was 2.2 degrees higher than the previous record of 1993 at 13.9 degrees. The likelihood of such a hot May month again, we do not see in the first place, says Gustav Strandberg.- It's very small. There are one or a couple of millions.Otherwise, Norrköping had 16.1 degrees in average temperature, which is the largest increase of 2.5 degrees compared with 1992. However, the highest average temperature in May had Gothenburg, which noted 17.6 degrees, but there are measuring ranges around a hundred years shorter than Stockholm.www.svt.se/nyheter/inrikes/majvarmen-hander-tre-ganger-pa-en-miljon-ar
