I've had a tab open, and there have been only 115 shouts in 18 hours as I write this, when was the last time the shoutbox was that slow, probably in September/October? Idk, nobody's been sad enough to actually count them before now. |

Mate, you need to not take the forum so seriously. That is not normal behaviour. Why are you on for 18 hours in a day and counting shoutbox posts? Not healthy.. |

In my experience, intentionally keeping the shoutbox open during the night to be able to read the things being said is a frowned upon behavior. It's kinda slightly spying. Some things get said in the shoutbox with the intention of not being heard by others. Besides, even when you forego the fact that the behavior is indicative of a significant attention seeking behavior, it's also just not healthy behavior. It's far more healthy to just accept that people will be talking, sometimes about you, while you're away instead of going around all day constantly worrying about what people are saying. I used to do it a lot around the summer of 2018 when I was at (my previous) peak of controversy. I'd spend so much time worrying about what people on here said and though about me. It wasn't healthy for myself, and my obsessive behavior around what people said and thought about me definitely showed through and definitely didn't help my reputation one bit. Just let go and relax a bit. Take it easy. For everyone's sake. |

Babu Fair points (especially regarding about worrying about what others say while I'm offline), though I keep tabs open mostly to see if there were certain discussions that interest me and to re-read discussions from earlier in the day (like weather discussions; I usually skim them but occasionally do bring them up – I'm not as worried about what others might say about me since returning), but I also kept tabs open when I was in Europe because at the time most discussions happened while I was asleep.

That seems to be an error with the website whereby when you refresh the page it shows far fewer people online, and online in the last 24 hours, than there actually are. Happened to me quite a few times, normally shows the correct number if you refresh it again.

Yeah it's definitely an error. However there has been a drop-off of active members. Currently sitting at 49 members in the past 24 hours. There were times in recent weeks when that number was in the upper 50s.

As for the active membership base I've noticed that some of the non-regulars have disappeared from the forum, but could just be a phase. Keep in mind that there are two members who have been online under invisible mode, though. |

I predict poor numbers for this week. The past few days in particular have been super dead at times, the slowest period I've noticed in recent times.

Well I guess that was just my imagination then... Glad to see those numbers! Yeah, the forum felt more active to me overall last week, if anything 200+ PPD in a week is unsustainable. Hopefully this will be the new normal. |
