June 2021 Summary For Mediterranean Sheffield
June was milder than average, and considerably drier than average. The first half was consistently mild, with lots of fair albeit boring weather. Very pleasant for enjoying the outdoors however. The second half was very dull and often chilly. The lack of sun in the second half means the sunshine was below average - yet again for a summer month. The lack of rain was a local phenomenon, as lots of rain fell in other parts of the country. This location missed a lot of the rain and also the convection with no thunder days reported all month. So it was a largely uneventful quite boring month.

Near-average precipitation (93% of normal) and slightly warmer (+0.9 °F/0.5 °C) than normal. Since my PWS data only goes back to April, I added Jan-Mar data from my nearby COOP station. True daily mean (average of 5-minute observations): 78.9 °F (26.1 °C) - quite a difference due to lots of rain-cooled afternoons! Max precip rate (10-min mean): 4.13"/hr (104.9 mm/hr) Max precip rate (1-min mean): 6.60"/hr (167.6 mm/hr) Max RH: 99% Min RH: 43% Max dew point: 83.0 °F (28.3 °C) Min dew point: 65.7 °F (18.7 °C) Max heat index: 114 °F (46 °C) or 91.4 °F (33.0 °C) with a 82.3 °F (27.9 °C) dew point

Stupid NWS still has missing data for the 18th even though every single observation was there. And the days they do have are all 1-2 f cooler than the actual temps. So no summary from me yet

June 2021 SummaryTemps about average, but notably wetter. I recorded two snowy days this June: 8.3 cm on the 9th from a cutoff low, and a thundersnow event of 9.6 cm on the 16th—however, much of the latter melted rapidly overnight and was slushy anyways. On the 17th (the day following my thundersnow event) I had a min of –0.4° C, as opposed to the 2.1° C at Hunters. I registered a daily rainfall of 92.8 mm on the 24th under a significant Northwest Cloudband. Anomalies @ Hunters Hill (1993–2020)• Mean Maximum: 8.0° C (–0.5° C) • Mean Minimum: 3.2° C (+0.1° C) • Precipitation: 190.8 mm (143.2%)

Been a good June here, with a stretch of thundery weather the second week, followed by a warm latter half of June, albeit without any real heat waves. Note that the gap from June 20th–24th for PWS data is because I brought it with me during my trip to Sicily. Here's data for my PWS: Average dew point (true average): 15.4°C (59.7°F) Average dew point (min. dew point + difference between max/min DP / 2): 15.4°C (59.8°F) Max. rainfall rate (instantaneous): 2.29"/hr (58.2 mm/hr) on June 11th, 7:05 PM Max. rainfall rate (15-min. average): 1.00"/hr (25.4 mm/hr) for June 8th, 1:10-1:25 PM Daily charts: Weather boxes for the two main airports of Rome area: Anomalies [for Ciampino AP; relative to 1991-2020 raw normals]: Average high: +1.3°C (+2.4°F) Mean: +1.3°C (+2.3°F) Average low: +1.2°C (+2.1°F) Precipitation: +4.9 mm (+0.19"; 115% of normal)

June 2021 at Green Bay airport: Average temp for the month was 70.9 F (21.6 C), 5.5 F warmer than the average (based on the full 1887-2020 POR). Total precipitation for the month was 4.72" (120 mm), 1.16" wetter than the average - though it should be noted that our summer wet season has been getting more intense over the years. So, considering it was warmer and wetter than average, why am I not quite as excited about it as you might expect? Well, the first half of the month had no substantial rain events at all, continuing the dry trend that's been ongoing since last fall and landing us in a pretty nasty drought for a while. The first half was about as good as can be expected in terms of temperatures - with a solid week of 30 C or warmer days from the 4th through 10th - but the second half fell flat and was cold at times, a similar pattern to this past April. So overall it was a good month, but Mother Nature didn't skimp on the crap even so. I'd say June also tends to be the most frustrating month around here in terms of weather, considering it is summer and thus I expect a bare minimum high of 80 F (27 C) - but that's actually three degrees ABOVE the average high for the month here, and there's a sharp increase in average temps between June and July, so really, contrary to what the calendar says, June tends just to be an extension of spring here.

Speagles84's House June 2021 Summary - Washington County, PennsylvaniaPretty average temperatures overall, first 90F day in June since 2016, pretty wet - sums it up. Seriously so wet the 2nd half from strong storms. 9.2" in one month is double the average, and the 2nd wettest month I've ever measured.

Not using YVR anymore since there are so many days with missing data. This is closer to me and my experience as well anyways. A month bookended by two heatwaves. One was insane, the other was somewhat normal but even that was quite hot for early June with a max of 29.2 on the 2nd. For JuneHighest high: 40.6 (27th) Lowest high: 10.8 (6th) Highest low: 24.5 (28th) Lowest low: 6.9 (8th) Biggest 24hr rainfall: 23.0mm (13th)

Météo France publishes them in their monthly summaries, but it seems like they haven't published the one for June yet. Here's the one for May for example: meteofrance.com/actualites-et-dossiers/actualites/mai-2021-tres-frais-et-arroseHere's a provisional map on the 25th, but it's very rough and given the fact that almost all precipitation was convective, there are extremely localized wet and dry spots (some places like Thieux must be north of 200 mm, some places near Moret sur Loing must be around 20 mm):

Very dry so far this year. Last winter was just shit across the board in BC. Here's hoping this coming winter is better.

It was a really nice June here, finishing 2 degrees Fahrenheit above the 1991-2020 average. Not as good as last June in terms of dryness, but still fine as it managed to finish below average for rain, and almost all rain fell in thunderstorms. The temps were amazing, with good variation and multiple heatwaves, culminating in the first 100 degree day in June here since 2017, and only the 4th ever. No monthly records were set, but the 100 was a daily record.

The 1-day tool on Infoclimat is good enough for me at least for now.

This June was slightly cooler and moderately wetter than normal. The first 25 days of the month were much drier than normal, but the last five days brought the precipitation totals back above average. The year-to-date temperatures are still the coldest since 1993, and every month has had a below normal monthly maximum temperature. This was also the first June since 2007 to not hit 95F/35C.
