 1.7F warmer than normal and 1.10" less precip than normal at the airport. I had 7.25" in my gauge for the month (I got more than 4" from heavy storms on June 1). ral31 Now that's what I call a legit summer month. Every day's high was over 80 F, and every day's low was over 60 F. Considering the precip total as well, damn near a perfect month.

I'll firstly say: Jandakot station died for the final 3 days of June. Temperatures average roughly the same for those 3 days so maxes and mins are affected too much, at most +/- 0.1 either way. The problem is there was a cold front during that period. Most likely Jandakot recorded 105-110mm during June, unfortunately I cannot extrapolate as Jandakot doesn't have an immediately nearby station (e.g. Perth Metro and Perth Airport which I have substituted on previous occasions). Rain days for Jandakot are probably closer to 12-13. Now onto the monthly summary: June was a cold, drier than average and average sunshine month. Started out sunny and mild with wide diurnals before becoming cloudier, wetter and milder from the 8th-14th. A strong cold front from 20-21st brought a very cold stretch of weather afterwards. Perth: High Max: 21.8C (5th) Mean Max: 18.7C (-0.8C) Low Max: 14.4C (21st) Monthly Anomaly: -1.1C High Min: 13.2C (11th) Mean Min: 7.2C (-1.4C) Low Min: 1.1C (26th) Rain: 93.6mm (74.2% of average 126.2mm) Rain Days: 12 Sun Hours: 182.8 (6.1/day)  Jandakot: High Max: 21.2C (3rd) Mean Max: 18.6C (-0.6C) Low Max: 14.5C (21st) Monthly Anomaly: -1.2C High Min: 13.2C (11th) Mean Min: 5.8C (-1.8C) Low Min: 0.1C (22nd) Rain: 95.2mm (67.7% of average 140.5mm) - take into account it's probably closer to 105-110mm. Wiluna Cold and dry month. The most noticeable period was 21st-26th where temperatures were very cold and well below average. Had 3 mornings with ice on cars. I think you mentioned that there were some frost during the 21st which was pretty bad for gardens. Did it happen or do I remember completely false?

I've been holding this off due to the sheer humiliation.  Tbf the first half on the month was okay for us. The 2nd half had some real stinkers, days with practically no sunshine and that day with the 15.3C high  |

 After 10 rainless Junes (with one shower occuring mid-afternoon at 44°C) this month was fantastic. Temperatures are shitty like usual. Averages (°F): 108/80 (one month too early) Records (°F): 121/66 Lowest high (°F): 95 Highest low (°F): 94 Rain days: 3 Rain inches: 0.03 (trace days did not add anything) |
