Hit 50 F yesterday night, the coldest temp so far, and possibly my lowest for September.

July 9th it dropped to 54F/12C. That's before "peak summer" so it's more like a late spring cool spell than a fall one. Since then, nothing below 59F/15C. The low of 59 for August should be tied for 3rd mildest for August and 9th for all time. Warmest is 62 in July 2012, July 2020, August 1995.
I'm hoping for some chilly weather in September, but there have been a lot of mild ones lately.
In the top 10 for mildest September low 2019 (1st, 52F/11C) 2016 (3rd) 2017 (4th) 2015 (7th)
2014 had the last early September cold spell, with a 50F/10C high on the 12th. I was in Madison at the time which had a 47/38 day (8/3)
For the airport, 55F/13C through the 19th. Still mild. The month is averaging 78/61 (26/16) which is a summer average to me.
For the closer station I use for the current temps, 50F/10C.
