Forecast high of 10C today, but as of 2:00pm it's only 3C with a decent amount of clouds so I doubt we'll warm up that much. You jinxed it!

Absolutely insane storm yesterday. Jesus Christ never seen wind like this, along with the insane cloudburst. Pure whiteout with whitecaps on the river, Lots of epic lightning before it hit aswell with an epic base and greenage.
Trees down everywhere, streets are full of debris, power has been out for 24 hrs now, and the Renmark McDonalds arches and KFC bucket were blown away. This shit must've been genuinely hurricane force.
Saturday, Nov 6, 2021, one for the books.

Scene from my back deck in the middle of it, about 4.30pm Saturday, Nov 6, 2021, a time which will live on in infamy. It is now in my top 5 thunderstorm all-time Hall of Epic. Even had water coming in through my hot water heater where it is installed on the wall, as this was being blasted from that exact direction. Had to put pots and a bbq tray under it to catch the water. Gonna have to silicon myself up now. Hurricane Mcghee was in full afterburner. Just for the record, low and high temps were 19.5C / 31.0C, WARMER than the forecast for once Made a Youtube channel, so I'll try and upload a vid, never did this before so bear with me. Same scene taken in more jolly conditions, today.

Snow icons have been removed from FMI's forecast both for Turku and Riga, so Doรฑa Jimena can sleep peacefully at least for a while yet. Not that there's any surprising in the forecast, Turku's first settling snow is around mid November on average. GFS predicts snow in extreme eastern Latvia near the Russian border already tomorrow evening: The first snow on the ground in Riga is predicted for 19 November so far...

Yesterday's highs/lows. Pretty chilly day for the S Atlantic coast. Warm in the Plains/Upper Midwest. Cooler in central LA than surrounding areas due to cloud cover.

Another cold frosty morning. Tied the seasonal low of 23 F/-5 C. Should warm up nicely with sunny skies and a high of 54 F/12 C.
Forecast for tonight changed to below freezing so I guess we might squeeze one more in before temperatures moderate for the rest of the week with several days of highs around 60 F/16 C and lows in the upper 30s to around 40 F/5 C. Lows at the end of the week look even milder (closer to 50 F/10 C).

I look at the GFS weather model here: wetterzentrale.de/ Today it has rained almost all day in Riga with precipitation amount reaching 13.2mm. It has rained even more in western Latvia: the weather station in Rucava has registered 57mm! It has looked all day like here in Saldus:

Been a very warm day by November standards under southerly flow with clearer skies than expected; today has exceeded my expectations. It's reached 75.7ยฐF (24.3ยฐC) at my PWS today...with Ciampino AP breaking its November record high by 1.3ยฐF:

Crazy. Waterspout near the airport and a tornado briefly touched down at UBC just west of Vancouver proper. There was also some wet snow in the highest elevation (350m-400m) suburban neighbourhoods in the Vancouver region (British properties in West Vancouver, Westwood plateau in Coquitlam and Burnaby Mountain) yesterday and today.

Forecast high of 10C today, but as of 2:00pm it's only 3C with a decent amount of clouds so I doubt we'll warm up that much. Kind of the reverse situation of this tonight - we have a forecast low of -5C overnight but it's already -4C at 7:00pm. Not seeing anything in the forecast about unusual weather patterns like the temperature rising overnight or anything like that, so we may end up getting a fairly deep freeze.

Very warm today, reached 77 (25 c) which tied the daily record. Warmest temp in a month. Potentially the last 70 f of the year though as temps return to average tomorrow.
Also very low humidity, dews were in the teens and relative humidity dipped to 9%.
