It gets a F/Z from me. Fucking horrible cloudy summers, cold rainy miserable winters. Even fucking Torshavn is WAY better than this shithole.

This thread definitely won't piss anyone off.
Motueka is a C+ for me, due to having perfect winters but anemic crummers. At least summer is the dry season though.

Just a bog stock Southern Hemisphere climate. Mild and inoffensive mostly. Lots of rain, likely few extremes ( after all we're not looking at data from the McKenzie or Central Otago ).
Bland it would seem, have'nt been there myself, although have travelled some of the South Island.
Somewhere between a C and a D, tending closer to a D when I think about it.....

Damn, you guys are pretty harsh on this climate ๐. It's pretty similar to my hometown of Christchurch but much wetter and without the foehn winds that were ChCh's saving grace. I have to give it a D. A warmest month of 12 / 23 C is not nearly warm enough and it's too cool and rainy overall (with such cool temps I really need it to be as dry as possible). Now that I'm accustomed to the consistent heat of the tropics I think I'd kill myself if I ever had to go back to NZ.
