Models have way backed off on any short or long duration extreme cold for here. Looking more and more like a run of the mill cold snap at this point, with a couple highs likely around -3/-4c and lows around -9c/-10c. If it can clear out, temps may get lower than that at night with added radiational cooling since we're forecast to have snow cover.

Fort Collins had 0.06โ of precipitation this morning, the first since November 20th. Also came with a 39 (4 c) overnight low, a new daily record.
Meanwhile here, the 22nd-23rd ended with a 6.5โ (17 cm) storm total snowfall so this will be a white Christmas.

Hilariously, Darwin had one of the coolest Christmas day out of all Australian cities and towns, only got to 26.3C there. The only towns of any significance that were cooler are Tasmania, Melbourne, and parts of southern Vic, far SE NSW coast, and Mt Gambier

Mostly sunny with a high/low of 79/58 here (using Pompano Beach station) yesterday. Heading to the beach and then a barbecue for Christmas, looks sunny headed up to 80 for the forecast high.
Back on Long Island, nearly had a white Christmas as the morning of Christmas Eve had 0.6โ of snow, which is the first of the season, but that melted during the day yesterday. Nice cool rain for Christmas there.

Meanwhile here, the 22nd-23rd ended with a 6.5โ (17 cm) storm total snowfall so this will be a white Christmas. Well I was wrong, 40s and rain all night melted the snow so itโs a green Christmas instead. Still overcast at least so not too un-Christmasy.

It's 54ยฐF (12ยฐC) and overcast in La Mesa, which is much more Christmassy than the 70ยฐF (21ยฐC) weather in Norman.

Enjoyed the beach and barbecue on Christmas with a high/low of 81/62 and dry, mostly sunny conditions.
More of the same ultra comfortable weather the next few days, with a warming trend with some 85+ highs in the cards.

We hit a low of -32C yesterday, our coldest temperature since February 14th. It looks like we'll be hitting that again several times this week, with multiple lows in the -30s in the forecast, our coldest one being -37C on Monday night.
