Local PWS stations in York were showing dew points between 19 and 21C this afternoon, and the official site at Linton showed a 22.7C dp, then down to 16C three hours later. That may well be an error though as the hour before it was 16C. It was certainly humid today though.

I'm pretty sure that must have been an error reading, as you can see from the animation, all nearby stations had similar dew points through the day.

It's been rather humid here lately. Nothing extraordinary, but the dew point has consistently been in the 15-20Β°C range for a while now. Today's map:

Days with dews exceeding 70 f so far this year, days exceeding 75 f are in red:
May 28: 70 May 31: 70
June 1: 72 June 18: 75 June 30: 75
July 1: 75 July 2: 75 July 3: 72 July 4: 73 July 5: 80 July 6: 73 July 10: 70 July 16: 71 July 17: 72 July 23: 74 July 24: 74 July 25: 73
August 1: 73 August 3: 71
Thatβs 19 days 70+, 5 days 75+ and 1 day 80+ so far.
Donβt feel like taking the time to search through other years to compare but it seems a much more humid year than normal.
Edit: July had 155 hours with 70+ dews, the most since 2002. I can find data back to 1973 and this July had the 3rd most!
However it also had 41 hours with sub-50 dews, the most since 2015. Means this July had quite variable humidity.

80?? That's very high. Even 75 is miserable. I'm curious what I've had. What site did you use?

Pretty steep rise in dp between 8 and 9 (15.0Β°C to 19.5Β°C) without any significant rain, must be the virgas. Temp still in the 30s.

30Β°C with an 11Β°C dp (31% rh) almost feels pleasant with a slight breeze. What a difference dryness can make.
