"Severe storms" last night ended up being some lame ass insipid light rain that amounted to a gigantic 0.07" (1.8 mm) of rain.

A little warmer and drier today, high was 89 (32 c) with dews in the 50s (13-14 c). I guess thatโs supposed to be more interesting? Really not though, even low 90s I canโt be fucked to care about now. Just want some fucking storms

Oh my fuck, Reno just got a sick thunderstorm and theyโre nearly bone dry this time of year. Thatโs an hour of thunder and rain rates up to 8โ/hour while Boreshitfuckyouchester canโt buy a storm when itโs the middle of storm season. Even while Las Vegas and Needles and Lake Havasu have been getting storm after storms but those places at least average like 0.3โ in July. Next Iโm probably gonna find that San Francisco is getting storms.

No, this isnโt photoshopped. Huge monsoonal surge expected in SoCal, with dewpoints in the mid-upper 60s. Maybe you are onto something

Lol @ being forecast a high of 115F with storms. Thatโs Benfxmth and Beercules wet dream. Death Valley is a tropical fucken semiarid bushland now, that is some searing Pilbara type heat and storms combo.

Unbelievable. Water is pouring down from the sky. What kind of madness is this? Seems like I slept through a storm earlier but another one is approaching and woke me up. On and off thunder yesterday but nothing significant in terms of rain, now this seems more like the real thing.

Never thought I'd see 'heavy rain' with such high temps there. But forecasts are one thing. We'll see how it is when it's all said and done.

Horrid day today, got up to 87 (31 c) with dews hovering around 70 (21 c) all day. Iโve lost all tolerance for humidity since moving to Colorado, was disgusting and swampy out.
The airport reported thunder but I did not hear a single rumble. Instead we had some lame ass fuck thunderless rain for like 10 minutes at a time that did nothing to cool it down. Thunderless rain can go suck a cock.
Meanwhile hereโs a roundup of places stealing our interesting weather
โขAlbany: 99 f high and a strong thunderstorm, Iโd forgotten just how much I hate Albany. More 95s there than 90s in Shitfuckchester.
โขReno: Yet another thunderstorm, theyโre nearly at the record wettest August after 4 days.

Another Wet Week Ahead For Australia ( source: Weatherzone ) The negative Indian Ocean Dipole will continue to exert its influence on Australia over the coming week, with decent rain likely to fall in part of every state and territory. We pointed out earlier this week that a negative Indian Ocean Dipole (IOD) had been declared to the northwest of Australia. This is the climate driver that typically increases rainfall over large areas of Australia during winter and spring by enhancing the strength and frequency of northwest cloudbands. Well, it didnโt take long for the negative IOD to make its presence known. The sequence of satellite images below shows a northwest cloudband producing widespread and heavy rain across southeastern and eastern Australia between Wednesday and Friday this week. This rain caused flooding in several states and inundated the mainland Alps with an unwelcome burst of winter rain. Now, forecast models suggest that another northwest cloudband could develop next week and link up with a low pressure system to bring more rain to parts of every state and territory. The map below shows how much rain is predicted during the next seven days according to one computer model. While it is still too early to know how next weekโs cloudband will evolve, there are already strong signs that it will produce widespread rain that could be heavy in some parts of the country. These transcontinental rain-bearing cloudbands are likely to be a regular visitor over Australia during the rest of winter and spring under the influence of the negative IOD. Just take a look at the latest seasonal outlook for rainfall between August and October.

Well, well...well, it did rain there! Yesterday's high was 108ยฐF, though. Wow at those obs, rain really cooled it down. Huge forecast bust by NWS which was going for a low in the lower 90s, as rain dropped temps into the mid 70s there. Honestly one of the biggest forecast busts that I've ever seen by NWS. Also, there's something just paranormal about seeing RH of 94% in Death Valley. What's next, is Key Biscayne a hot dry desert?

SW US was experiencing huge water shortages, so this active monsoon season will be very beneficial. Hopefully the runoff from all this rain in the region will start to replenish reservoirs like Lake Mead.
