By clear days meaning the sky is like over 90% clear or nearly cloudless. So not just partly sunny (although that counts as a "sunny day" for many).
Anyway, Sydney has 109.5 clear days and 127.2 cloudy days. So we have more cloudy days.

Supposedly 148.5 clear days and 94.5 cloudy/mostly cloudy days. Idk about that, the cloudy days seems a bit of a stretch...but maybe.

For Melbourne it's 48.6 clear days and 179.4 cloudy days. It feels sunnier than that, but either way we definitely have more cloudy days.

More clear days thank god
My native Shitchester might as well have been called Cloudchester, with only 30 clear days per year on average ๐คฎ

Probably about 50/50 here. Depends on the season, summer and mid-winter are quite sunny, late fall/early winter and late winter/early spring are quite cloudy.

57% possible sunshine annually in NYC, so Iโd guess there are slightly more sunny days than cloudy ones here. December is cloudiest at 48%, and August is sunniest at 63%.

Hm I'd presume that NYC still has more overcast days than clear cloudless days, considering its climate & location (so slightly more cloudy days). But I don't know...

That 57% figure in reality is probably more like 51-53%.

I was just replying to Metsfan where he said that NYC has more sunny days than cloudy days when its climate data says otherwise.

Darwin stats from BOM Holy crap! The wet season is practically overcast! Yep, from about Xmas to mid March gotta turn on the hot water booster as the solar hot water doesn't like full overcast.

Kansas City apparently averages 120 clear days.
It feels sunnier than that to me, but I guess where exactly you place the line between clear and not-clear changes the number a lot.
