Pleasant the past few days with highs between 69-72 F (21-22 C). Mild tonight with a forecast low of 55 F/13 C. Chance of showers and thunderstorms tomorrow before tranquil conditions return Friday.

Supercell storm with large hail to my north late this afternoon. I got a few hundredths of an inch of rain (first measurable rain in over a month). Storm complex could come through overnight.
A return of summer-like conditions today with high of 92F and dewpoint up to the low 70's. Front coming tonight should cut humidity down and bring slightly lower temps. Stronger front coming next week.

First snow of the season looking possible tonight and tomorrow. 38 F (3.3 C), cloudy and windy here at midday. Hard to believe just 2 days ago we had a high of 81 F (27.2 C).

Picture perfect start to October here, extremely pleasant with highs in the 66-76 f range (19-24 c) all but 1 day with chilly nights and mostly dry. And the one cool day was the kind of cozy overcast fall day I really like. And the forecast looks excellent for the foreseeable future. Since August and September were icky Iβm very much enjoying the pleasant stretch even though itβs not the most interesting.
Fall foliage will probably peak this weekend or so. Id estimate 20% green, 45% changing, 30% peaking and 5% past peak currently. Thereβs some green, dry looking tree thatβs common here (some kind of oak?) thatβs nearly all green while the cottonwoods are much farther along.

13.5C high, -0.2C low. Rather high diurnal for autumn, and first freeze of the season as well.

Quite a terrible situation that has happened. With the soils already being saturated over the past few months, a weather system like this was bound to have big consequences.

The NAM is showing some incredible cold for northeast Oklahoma and along the Kansas/Missouri border for Wednesday morning. It shows Springfield, MO getting down to 16Β°F (-9Β°C), which would break their October record low over 10 days before the end of the month. I'm sure the model must be overdone, but the cold still looks impressive.
